ID&T and Goldenvoice have partnered up to bring you the inaugural Sensation U.S. Tour. This is the infamous ‘all white clothing’ electronic massive events that have been happening worldwide for years. The tour has already taken place at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California and continues at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 5th, American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida October 12th, and Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York October 26th.
“Sensation will present to U.S. audiences “The Ocean Of White,” which premiered in Amsterdam, toured all over the world and performed in front of 30,000 people at the sold out Rogers Centre in Toronto marking the first Sensation Canada. Acrobats shoot from the ceiling, giant jellyfish hover above the dancefloor, as dj’s guide the crowd through uncharted waters of mesmerizing grooves and melodies”.
The lineup to this event will include house sensations Mr. White, Fedde Le Grand, Michael Woods and more!

Ultra Music Festival announced a few months back that it would mark history with it’s 2013 event having going down as the first ever electronic music festival to extend to two weekends. Well, the Miami City Commissioner Marc Sarnoff was not too thrilled with this deceision of the second weekend, and made a hasty decision of proposing to cancel it, despite looking at the benefit, first and foremost the $79 million added revenue Ultra Music Festival added to the City of Miami last year alone. He made false accusations accusing all attendees of the event to be drug overdosing maniacs. He failed to see how massive the event was and how important it was to so many people.
Below is a copy of the actual proposal from City Commissioner Marc Sarnoff to the City of Miami.

The community fought back fast. DJ and Electronic Music Activist Tommie Sunshine started the twitter tyrant against Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, resulting in an article in the Miami Times. There was a petition that got passed around raising over 8,000 signatures really showing how fast the electronic community can voice their opinion, especially on something as strongly as getting wrongly mislabeled by a city, and threatening the expansion of the biggest event in the country.
Now the City has agreed to stop any efforts of stopping the festivals second weekend expansion and have accepted it… all of course for a $500,000 compensation fee.

This December Miami is getting hit with a new beast of a festival, UR1 Music + Art Festival taking place December 8th and 9th at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami, Florida, where the internationlly known Ultra Music Festival has taken place. The lineup is already pretty nuts and well rounded with headliners including Kanye West, Lou Reed, Keane, Fun., Santigold, Pete Tong, Bob Sinclar, Erick Morillo, Sven Vath, and even The Offspring. It’s got that huge talent Coachella vibe in a Miami setting, and this is only the first wave of aritsts announced. We’ve been told about some pretty huge Electronic acts yet to be announced. This is a first year festival, so we can only hope for the best, and with this kind of lineup already, and the location, looks like the ingredients for an epic weekend in December. Grab pre-sale tickets that go on sale at 1pm EST before they go up. See also below for the track “Look At The Hoes”, a massive collab between Santigold, Diplo, and Boys Noize.
