Cashmere Cat: Incredible Down Tempo Smooth Electronic Producer from Norway – “Aurora” + “Fallin Love (Cashmere Cat Remix)”

Today I’d like to get you all more properly acquainted with Cashmere Cat. His name is August and he is an incredible producer and DJ from Norway who makes some amazing down tempo smooth electronic music fueled by his signature powerful drum. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live this past week at SXSW in Austin and was absolutely blown away.  This first track is his remix to BenZel’s “Falling In Love”. The percussion is to clean and on point adding the perfect background for him to do some unreal vocal sampling that is unbelievably easy to listen to.

The Cat manages to carry out a certain airy freshness to every single one of his productions coming off extra light.  Next up is his recent single “Aurora” that recently got released on a Feathers compiliaton. He uses some interesting insutrments and knocks you in the face with his drums. Turn these up, start growing in love if you haven’t already with Cashmere Cat. Enjoy!

Branchez took Rihanna‘s “Stay” feat. Alesia and flipped it into an incredible progressive trap remix. He layers the vocals and looped piano with just the right amount of tasteful trap hits. It has a very chilled out minimalistic vibe that works unbelievably well. It is a track that I haven’t been able to stop replaying. The combination of Montreal based Lunice and Glasgow based Hudson Mohawke is unreal. The first song the unstoppable duo ever made together was “R U Ready”, and was self released on their soundcloud. Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh just got off a massive tour and brought out Lunice (half of TNGHT) for the After Parties sponsored by This Song Is Sick. The two artists obviously ended up linking up and working on some tracks and now we get “Superman OG” the next massive track from his upcoming Electric Highway mixtape. Lunice creates the perfect trap flavored track with Rockie Fresh delivering some solid lines. I hope this is a sign of the two working on more tracks in the future. For those unfamiliar, here’s Iggy Azalea, one of the freshest new female rappers out there. She basically does what Kreayshawn was going for… But born in Australia.
