GRiZ – Gettin’ Live : Must Hear Electro Soul / Future Funk [Free Download]
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Bass Music, Electro Soul, Future-Funk, GrizDetroit transplanted to Colorado electronic muscian GRiZ has been teasing with his Grizmatik project and a collaboration with Big Gigantic, yet has kept his solo productions under wrap since his highly successful free album Mad Liberation released last fall. “Gettin’ Live” is the first single from his newest currently unnamed record. Right from the beginning the song packs a unique twist of bass and soul unlike anyone else. The song features some Django Unlimited samples as well as some guitar and sax work from GRiZ himself, and also features a guitar solo from Muzzy the guitarist on his last record. As if ‘Gettin Live’ didn’t have enough energy, around the 2:30 mark, he let’s loose one of the dirtiest sections he has ever created. GRiZ has drastically improved as a producer, and has most definitely not lost that funky flavor we love. He has been nice enough to give this song out completely for free. Look out for more about his upcoming record slated to release sometime before summer. Enjoy!

GRiZ – Smash the Funk + Album Release Date : Must Hear Future Funk / Electro Soul / Glitch Hop
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: BANGER, Bass Music, Dubstep, Electro Soul, Electronic, Funk, Funky, Future-Funk, glitch-hop, Griz, JumpDamn, I’ve been waiting for this for quite some time.. GRiZ.. the past Michigan resident who has made his way to Boulder has finally announced that his Mad Liberation album will be coming out September 4th for free. TSIS has been following this talented 22 year old producer ever since we posted his his MASSIVE remix of Aerosmith’s “Dream On”. This is the last single off of Mad Liberation to come out before it drops next week. There isn’t an official tracklist, but I believe that “The Future Is Now” and “Where Is The Love” are on the album as well. This track “Smash the Funk” is a future funk /groovestep bass heavy BANGER. It starts off with a dancey funk break which immedately picks up some energy with a little bass. It then moves it then builds up more and more energy until the bass finally comes crashing in complete with his eerie high pitched synths. The track has soul and emotion, yet capturing a modern crunchy edge.. to form GRiZ’s distinct flavor. Turn up the bass, get ready for September 4th, this looks to be one of the biggest releases of the year. Enjoy!
