After an extensive amount of promotional work and single releases such as "Drifting" ft. Tory Lanez and Chris Brown, G-Eazy has finally dropped off his sophomore album. When It’s Dark Out is a 17 track journey of an album that’s sure to reach the top of the charts across the globe. The album has G straying away from the light-hearted, braggadocio filled style we saw on These Things Happen and displays a far darker, more serious side.
By far and away, G-Eazy’s most haunting song is “Everything Will Be OK” ft. Kehlani. In fact, while making his rounds throwing private listening parties across the country, G-Eazy mentioned in Denver that “Everything Will Be OK” is the most important song he’s ever recorded. Upon listening it’s quickly understood why. On it G discusses traumatic events such as dealing with his mom’s sexuality and the tragic passing of his mom’s girlfriend- leaving goose bumps on your skin.
From beginning to end, When It's Dark Out is a cohesive project that reveals just how far G-Eazy has come. Exhibiting his far more mature sound and distinguished content, G-Eazy manages to not only dodge the infamous sophomore slump, but create his best album to date.

Now he's already back with another cut off the project called "Drifting." This time around G brings two of his heavy-hitting friends along with him: Rising Toronto / Dallas rapper Tory Lanez and Chris Brown. All three artists wail over the fact that they're drifting away from the ladies in their life due to their bad habits over a sedated hip-hop beat.
Grab the song now, ahead of the album release on December 4th.

G-Eazy has been building steam around his recently announced When It's Dark Out album which is set to be much darker than anything we've seen from him before. Earlier this week we heard the first single "Me, Myself, & I" with Bebe Rexha, which was more of a radio fueled cut.
Today we get a true taste of what the album has ahead with the new single "Random." While the instrumental is a better representation of the soundscapes we can expect – complete with angelic chants and ominous keys – we still hear his signature, overly confident bravado.
Stream "Random" below and pre-order his sophomore album When It's Dark Out before it's released on December 4th.
