Today we get the preview of their latest massive single “My People”. We got the first taste with their Digital Liberation Is Mad Freedom complete with music video, and this track might top it. They fuse funk, soul, and gritty bass unlike any artists I have heard. These two teaming up is an insane combination. you can hear both artists shine through heavily. Even though this is just a sample, you can tell it’s gonna be quite the anthem. Can’t wait for the release.
Also don’t miss their main stage performance at this year’s SnowBall Music Festival in Winter Park this weekend March 8th – 10th. Enjoy.

Gramatik – Bluestep : Electro-Soul / Dubstep / Bass Music [Free Download]
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: BANGER, Bass Music, Dubstep, Electro Soul, Free Download, Funk, Future-Funk, Gramatik, GrooveGramatik let us preview his newest single “Bluestep” earlier in the week alongside a 2012 recap video showing the insane amount of festivals and concerts he played last year. Well now we get the free download of the incredible funk filled song. This is the first song off his upcoming album The Age of Reason, coming out later this spring. This is also the first release on his newly founded Record Label LowTemp. He fuses raw blues elements like guitar with his fresh bass filled edge. Something about the offbeat feeling of this song struck me off the first listen, then grew on me every listen since; which is a sign of a true great music to me. Turn this up, enjoy!

He manages to meld guitar samples and gritty bass in a seamless fashion. The song is accompanied by a 2012 recap of most of Gramatik’s 2012 live shows, featuring a huge amount of festivals all over the country. Free download coming for this song on Thursday. Posted in Bangin, Premieres, Video by nick | Tags: #DLIMF, Digital Liberation Is Mad Freedom, Gramatik, Griz, GrizmatikI am proud to present to you the debut single from the new collaboration side projecet Grizmatik, comprised of Gramatik and GRiZ. These are both two of the most soulful, funky, electronic muscians I know, so having them both work together is a dream come true. We had the honor of debuting their live project at the Thissongissick Secret Set at Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan this past summer, alongside Dominic Lolli of Big Gigantic. Then they had their second show at a North Coast Festival after party at House of Blues in Chicago, which was sold-out mayhem.
“Digital Liberation is Mad Freedom” or “#DLIMF” for short is their debut single taking pieces from both of their recent album, GRiZ’s – Mad Liberation, and Gramatik’s #Digtal Freedom. This song packs such an amazing funky punch unlike one I’ve ever heard right from the start, then moves into a drop that hits you and won’t let up. This video captures all of their live shows to date, including a ton of their sold-0ut show at the House of Blues in Chicago. Sit back, enjoy the start of Grizmatik! The Beatles – Don’t Let Me Down (Gramatik 2012 Remix) : Classic Song Gets 2012 Electro Hip-Hop Reworking
Posted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Bass Music, Electro Soul, Funk, Gramatik, The BeatlesThe Beatles are always a hard group to remix, on account of how influential and great their music was and still is. Well today I’ve got a fresh funky remix from Gramatik that does The Beatles justice, taking one of my favorites “Don’t Let Me Down”, and flipping it into a slow tempo electro hip-hop BANGER. Gramatik gives it some of bass bass fueled groovey vibe he does so well. The fusion of live instrument. Gramatik started this track in 2006, and decided to revamp it and drops it to the masses. Enough talking, turn it up, enjoy!

Gramatik – #digitalfreedom : Must Hear Electronic / Dubstep / Funk Album [TSIS SPONSORED]
Posted in Bangin, Mixtapes / Albums by nick | Tags: BANGER, Bass Music, Dubstep, Electronic, Funk, Gramatik, Groove, Nu Disco, Pretty Lights MusicToday I’ve got an unbelievable free album for you, from Gramatik, a Slovenian artist who stands for everything that the site believes in; not giving a shit about confining music to a single genre, and wanting to spread that good music to as many possible people, for free in hopes that they will pay money to see the artists play live in concert. And that’s this brand new 6 song EP #digitalfreedom stands for. It was released on Pretty Lights Music and sponsored by Thissongissick. For this release he has a more agressive bass heavy style spanning over a variety of genres including dubstep, glitch hop, nu disco, and even some more. Dynamic and versatile are some of the best words to describe Gramatik. The live guitar and samples used give it that funky upbeat sound blended with the heavy hitting bass edge creates a great vibe reminding me a little bit of Pretty Lights, but completely it’s own sound.. Here’s a great ending note from Gramatik himself.
“Also, I just wanna say one thing to those who know me only by my chilled out hip-hop beatz: don’t be scared when you hear this EP, my true fans know that I’m nothing if not versatile. Good music is larger than one genre so just open your mind, absorb the vibes and you’ll be versatile too!”
Listen to every single track on here, download them all, turn it up, enjoy! Don’t miss his previously posted Beatz & Pieces Vol. 1 album, and his Stair Way To Hip Hop Heaven remix to name a few.

SnowBall Music Festival 2012 Official Mixtape : 20 Song Mixtape Featuring Exclusive Downloads from Bassnectar, Gramatik, Mimosa, Griz and more!
Posted in Bangin, Mix / Playlist, Mixtapes / Albums by nick | Tags: Bassnectar, Break Science, Dubstep, Electronic, Festival, Gramatik, Griz, Mimosa, Mixtape, Snowball, Two FreshI’ve been waiting to bring you this one for awhile now. This weekend is the SnowBall Music Festival 2012 and today I’ve got the official mixtape brought to you by Thissongissick. So most of you probably know about the festival SnowBall featuring names like Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, and The Flaming Lips, which started in Vail, Colorado and expanded to SnowGlobe in Lake Tahoe, California, and SnowMont in Killington, Vermont. Last year we put together a sick mixtape which got tons of love.
Today we continue the tradition with 20 amazing songs from artists playing the festival like Bassnectar, Major Lazer, Gramatik, Dillon Francis, Mimosa, Nit Grit, Two Fresh, Griz, and the list goes on and on. We tried to create a mixtape that highlighted the heavy bass crushing acts, to the more soulful live acts, and everything in between. SnowBall is a great balanced festival, with enough electronic to tide you over, and I really feel we did a great job at highlighting that. Enjoy all of these unreleased tracks, exclusive downloads on songs that have been purchase only, and more. We really hope you take the time to listen to every track. Enjoy!
Also for everyone at the festival, be sure to stop by the SnowBall merch tent to pick up a new TSIS shirt or crewneck!
