Tiësto Interviewed by Hardwell About Career and New Artist Album Live at ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event)Posted in Interview, News, Video by nick | Tags: ADE, Hardwell, Interview, Kaleidoscope, Thissongissick, Tiesto
One of the highlights at this years ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) was the worlds new #1 DJ Hardwell speaking with the legendary Tiësto about his lifelong career, state of the electronic music community, and more in an informative yet fun interview. Tiësto sheds light on releasing his latest artist album in 2014 and following up his previous 2009 release Kaleidoscope, which was a pivotal shift in his production from Trance to House. Tiësto’s newfound style derives from headlining massive festivals worldwide and being exposed to the progression of Big Room House and Trap music. This has allowed him to creatively fuse these genres into his own music. Tiësto also mentions being re-influenced by his older Trance sound from seeing so many amazing Trance acts play throughout the world since his last album release. He manages to let us know his next album is very different from anything in the past.

Hardwell is experiencing the best week of his life having recently been proclaimed DJ Mag’s number one DJ in the world. This prestigious award comes after months of dedication and hard work that has seen Hardwell conquer billboard charts, festival stages (check out his highly acclaimed set from Tomorrowland 2013 here), and his own headlining tour throughout the world. Hardwell’s new edit of Clockwork’s “Tremor” showcases why he is such a hot commodity in electronic music today. Hard-hitting electro beats build up the rhythm before servings of bass and a wild array of synths take this track to a whole other level. Big shoutout to Clockwork for reaching 100k followers on Facebook and releasing this electro-house gem for free download! Enjoy

Hardwell was one of the headliners who were apart of the truly epic TomorowLand that went down this weekend and has been nice enough to pass out the full live performance of his performance including full HD video. You can watch the full 1 hour and 20 minute video showing the incredible set filled with some of the biggest progressive and electro house anthems from himself including his new single “Jumper” with W&W to start the set off. He also fit in tons of tracks from his label Revealed Recordings, and a handful from his close friends.
We get to see how jaw dropping the massive stage setups were adding to the magical aspect which is very unique to TomorrowLand. The video also manages to capture the sheer size of the huge festival and look at the energy Hardwell managed to hold onto from the front and back of the massive audience the entire length of his set. I feel it’s obvious after watching this set that Hardwell has truly catapulted to the top of the worldwide house scene and in the same catergory as some of the greats like Tiesto and and Armin van Buuren. Alright as we were planning our last posts and do to some of the DJ’s really not wanting there sets online we realized it made more sense to combined posts 3 and 4 into a big post. Kicking off this post is one of most buzzed acts at EDC Knife Party, and for a good reason. Their song choice was amazing, dropping tons of unrleased VIPs, remixes, and bootlegs. Next up is Kaskade‘s set, the king of feel good smoother electronic music, but surprisingly plays a harder hitting electro spiked set. Apparently everyone is going harder. Next up is Hardwell where he delivers another solid electro house set at the festival, with his own vibe. He plays that majority of his own tracks, fused with the big ones, and filled with tons of bootleg mashups. Nicky Romero delivers a great progressive house set. Next up Bassjackers throws down a heavy electro house set. Enjoy all the sets and look out for the last post. Enjoy!

Here is the hot new visual for electro house star Hardwell’s track “Spaceman”, which has some newly added vocals from Mitch Crown, now titled “Call Me A Spacemen”. It has an animated spaceman controlling and switching back and forth between various cuts of Hardwell playing HUGE shows across the world, including Ultra. It has a cool idea I have never seen in a video before. Also if the newly added vocals from Mitch Crown don’t suit you, try out Kap Slap’s bootleg remix featuring some vocals from Gotye and Lady Gaga in “Spaceman I Used To Know”. Turn these up, enjoy!
