Well they teamed up for some new music, and this track features the other half of Zion-I Zumbi, and The Grouch. With an all star cast like this you can expect it to be epic, and it does so well. Today I’ve got a new track from California based Super Mash Bros. There one of the bigger names in the mashup area, under Girl Talk. Well this first track shows that they’ve never lost their fantastic mashup skills. This is the first track off an upcoming Mile(y) High Club coming out soon. Like I’ve said before, there’s far too many mediocre mashup artists out there due to how easy it is to slap two tracks together, but actually making a good mashup like this one, does take skill. Tarik – Know Her Name (Music Video) : Chill Hip Hop Song + Video

Today I’ve got a new music video for a chilled out track from Tarik, the Brooklyn based rapper. It’s off his T.R.I.G.S. Mixtape, which featured one of my favorite tracks of his  ‘Weatherman’. He’s a newcomer who’s got a mellow style the combines some singing and rapping, for a great blend. This track has a great mixture of his singing and rapping. It’s got chill chorus that works well with a acoustic guitar powered beat that has  summer vibe. The video is great done by Jon Kilmer. Check it out, chill, enjoy!

Mike Stud – Happy Ending : Mellow Serious Hip Hop Video + Song

Today I’ve got a change of pace for college themed rapper Mike Stud.  He’s typically cracking jokes about partying or having fun, but this was one of his more serious tracks on his A Toast to Tommy. It’s a ballad highlighting three very serious tragic events of three different lives that have all effected Mike’s life. It’s got a mellow beat with a catchy piano line and a girl chorus that repeats throughout. Mike really has a great storytelling voice that’s enjoyable to listen to to. Check out the sad tales, enjoy.

Pretty Lights – We Must Go On : Must Hear New Electronic / Hip Hop Single + Video

It still blows my mind how big Pretty Lights has gotten in the few years, and for all the right reasons. You’ve heard his amazing albums, all given away for free, and some of his epic remixes. His last single that he put out ‘I Know the Truth’ sent his listeners thinking he was going in a more bass fueled heavier direction, well today we hear that he’s still maintaining his downtempo side. This track ‘We Must Go On’ reminds me of his earlier stuff with the sample based vibe. Now I know Derek has been working with a ton of musicians throughout the country, so the samples used in the track are most likely recorded instead of taken from old vinyl. I love the PL vibe that shines through every track, it’s almost electronic music with a hip hop vibe. This track comes complete with a new video as well filmed and edited by Derek and girlfriend Krystle. Check it out, chill, enjoy!

Break Science – Victory : Must Hear Unique New Electronic / Dubstep / Hip Hop from Pretty Lights Music

If you’re unfamiliar Pretty Lights started a label called Pretty Lights Music featuring a bunch of artists that are killing it like Paper Diamond, Michal Menert, SuperVision, Paul Basic, and Break Science. Well today I’ve got the first single from Break Science’s upcoming album Monilith Code coming out January 30th, for free like all the PLM releases. Break Science has a very fresh sound combining a ton of elements from dubstep and glitch, but really carving their own unique sound. This track ‘Victory’ captures that unique Break Science vibe made possible with Adam Dietch’s live drumming and keys and Borahm Lee on Keys and DJing on top of their amazing electronic production. MartyParty – We Don’t Give A Damn : Smooth Melodic Dubstep / Glitch / Hip Hop BANGER [TSIS PREMIERE]

Today I’m excited to bring you guys the first track off an upcoming TSIS release, Six Shots of Jameson by MartyParty. We’ve seen some of his massive remixes like Lil Wayne – Pussy, Money, Weed, Adele – Rolling in the Deep or The Police – Roxanne. After the response of his remixes, we were excited to present a full original project from Marty, for free of course. This first track shows a good example of what’s in store for the entire release. Glitch infused dubstep with a hiphop vibe that’s got that melodic Purple feel to it. The hip hop vocal sample, although short, really adds a lot to the track.
