Robin Schulz

German-based producer / DJ Robin Schulz is making noise thanks to a collection of viral tracks that have seen some international success. He's becoming a household name in multiple countries and is spreading fast everywhere else, so we thought it was overdue to do a Robin Schulz catchup post to bring readers up to speed through some of his best remixes and originals, including his new music video and the announcement of his first US tour ever.

First we are starting with the release that kicked things off, his remix of "Waves" originally by Dutch soul singer Mr. Probz released late last year. The song hit #1 in too many countries to name and has seen well over 100+ million plays online collectively. He highlights the smooth vocals and guitar line perfectly arranging things while speeding things up leaving us with quite a hit. Watch the music video below.

His next unstoppable hit takes on French indie band Lilly Wood & The Prick and their single "Prayer In C" which was originally from 2010, but turned into an international hit once Robin remixed it this year. He highlights the vocals and guitar strumming leaving us with one of his best tracks to date. This one also has international success and has racked up over 70+ million plays online collectively. Watch the music video below.

On top of these remixes he has managed to find time to release his debut album Prayer which features some of his best remixes over the past year on top of some originals. The lead original single from the album is "Sun Goes Down" which features UK singer Jasmine Thompson and is quite the slice of deep house perfection featuring one of the best uses of a saxophone in house music I have heard. The song has been brought to life as Robin's latest official music video helping enjoy the perfect blend of organic and electronic elements. Listen and watch below. You can pick up this single apart of Robin Schulz's debut album Prayer. Enjoy!

Robin Schulz is also set to venture over the the United States for his first ever US tour which is kicking off January 9th in New York. Tickets are available moving fast, look below at the dates and pick up tickets before it's too late.

Loads of tropical goodness and chill house elements are reconstructed around Ben’s voice, making this remix something you are going to be playing over and over again. So when Tom played his US return show at Webster Hall this past weekend, he closed out the show by doing the unthinkable and taking his shoe off and drinking a beer out of it. Properly called a "Shoey", it looks like this might be something we can expect from ole Tom when he hits a city near you.

Knife Party Changes Pace On New Leaked Single “Begin Again”

A new song by Aussie duo Knife Party "Begin Again" has just surfaced being uploaded by an unknown Soundcloud account. We got a taste of their upcoming EP a few weeks back with the song "Resistance" which was a bass heavy electro festival banger following in the style we have grown to expect from Knife Party.

Well today after listening to "Begin Again" we hear a completely new side of Knife Party, bringing in some influences of their other project Pendelum as far as more focused on melodies then the drop, which this song doesn't really have. We also hear Rob Swire of Knife Party / Pendelum lay down some of his own vocals, which makes us remember when he did the same thing for deadmau5's iconic "Ghosts N Stuff".

Listen below to the preview and we will keep you posted on details as they roll in. What are your thoughts on the change of pace from Knife Party? Enjoy.
