Miike Snow Drop Off Third Single “I Feel The Weight” From Forthcoming Album iii

Posted in Chill by conor | Tags: , , , ,

After Miike Snow gave us two singles off of their upcoming album iii – "Genghis Khan" and "Heart Is Full" – we were more than satisfied until the albums release. They've decided to graciously bless us anyway with yet another cut off of iii called "I Feel The Weight."

With each new single, the Swedish trio have shown varying, diverse sides to the albums sound. "I Feel The Weight" sees the group swaying gently through the track with stripped away production and melancholy vocals unlike anything we've heard from them before. At this rate, they may even be dropping a few more singles before iii's March 4th release date, we'll be sure to keep you updated! For now, watch the mesmerizing visuals to "I Feel The Weight" below.

Skizzy Mars – Magic (ft. Phoebe Ryan) : Hip-Hop

Skizzy Mars and Phoebe Ryan Magic

Skizzy Mars churns out indie hip-hop jams almost weekly it seems. Most recently he's given us "Comb" as well as one of our favorites in a while, "Crash" ft. Pell. He's now just blessed us with another spontaneous indie / hip-hop track called "Magic", this time featuring frequent collaborator Phoebe Ryan.

The chilled out track has Skizzy strutting across the beat touching on everything from weed and girls, to his angsty lifestyle in typical Skizzy fashion. Phoebe Ryan then puts the cherry on top as she hops on the hazy chorus to deliver the songs overarching theme; "we know it's bad for us but we love it." Be sure to keep your eye out for Skizzy's new album "Alone Together" expected March 11 avalible for pre-order now! Enjoy

Pell x Stephen x Caleborate – In The Morning : Laid Back Hip-Hop

Pell X Stephen

Rising New Orleans rapper Pell has solidified himself as an artist to keep an eye on more and more with each of his releases. He’s previously impressed wth collaborations alongside G Eazy on “Got It Like That,” with Skizzy Mars on “Crash,” and with Imad Royal on their freshly released “Down For Whatever.”

This time around he’s enlisted the production abilities of Stephen, who has really impressed us with the unique, genre-defying sound he’s really made his own. Joined on “In The Morning” by fellow rapper Caleborate, Pell showcases his signature, groovy sound that’s a cross between singing and rapping as he writes catchy melodies that are simply irresistible. The uplifting guitar-based hip hop beat provides a joyful foundation for the upbeat lyrics and whistling to compliment the production making for a playful tune you'll surely enjoy. Stream below and enjoy!

Manila Killa Delivers His First Ever Original “All That’s Left” Ft. Joni Fatora : Must Hear Indie Electronic

Longtime TSIS featured artist Manila Killa has been on our radar for awhile now with his unique indie electronic creations. His remix of Caribou's "Can't Do Without You" alongside Kidwaste was one of our favorites from last year. Despite gaining a massive following over the years, and releasing numerous songs with his side project Hotel Garuda, Manila Killa has never released an original single on his own, until now.

The Washington DC based producer's "All That's Left" ft. Joni Fatora adheres to his signature sound we've come to love, only this one uses entirely original vocals and production. Utilizing bouncing synthpop layers and flowing melodies "All That's Left" is a brightly colored house jam sure to have you dancing. Recruiting songstress Joni Fatora, Joni adds her own chilled out vocals to the track to bring it to the next level.
