Childish Gambino is getting closer and close to the much anticipated release of his latest album Because the Internet, and we get another amazing track from the project. ‘Sweatpants’ is a gritty hip-hop banger with a change of pace from Gambino. Spitting verse after verse and never letting up, Gambino shows a more serious side of his talents. We can expect quite a versatile project. Listen below:
It turns out this song is released as a free download when you pre-order the new album Because the Internet, yet that was not what Gambino has in mind, read his angered tweets. Someone from his label has apparently leaked the song with the pre-order to help push numbers against his wishes, classic major labels.
UPDATE: Donald is mad at the label, not blogs for sharing it now that’s it leaked. Here is his tweet.
Regardless of ‘Sweatpants’ surfacing early, it seems Because the Internet will have quite the imaginative rollout from Donald Glover, which can only get us more excited for this release.
