And this is not a fake rumor due to getting confirmation from multiple acts playing the festival. This picture was sent in by a friend who took a picture of an ad that got ran a full week and a half before the planned announcement in a Red Bull Magazine. This is an impressive lineup for the massive annual Chicago festival taking place over the weekend of August 2nd – 4th.
UPDATE: The official lineup announcement from Lollapalooza has been moved up a week, CONFIRMING that this is in fact the real lineup
Headliners include The Cure, Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, The Postal Service, Vampire Weekend, New Order, Queens of the Stone Age, The Lumineers, The National, Kendrick Lamar, Eric Church, Knife Party, Steve Aoki and Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia.

Spring Awakening Music Festival 2013 : First Headliners Announced / Leaked, Early Bird Tickets Sell Out, 3 Days Now

The festival is returning to the legendary Soldier Field in the heart of Chicago this year now taking place 3 days during June 14th, 15th, & 16th. The festival is expecting to be even bigger, with over 75,000 in attendance, and over 100 Dj’s in playing over the 3 days. Early bird tickets went on sale this morning and sold out, so look out for the next round of cheap tickets before going up again.
There are two confimred headliners so far, the mastermind of bass, Bassnectar. Then on the complete other spectrum of the electronic world, house legend turned mainstream star Calvin Harris will be headlining as well. There are also some strong rumors that we can’t full confirm, but would like to very much believe due to artists either accidentally announcing after playing a show in Chicago and online. These names have not been confirmed by the festival, but include: Zeds Dead, NERVO, and Gramatik.

The full list gets announced tonight in Amsterdam, but it looks like someone leaked the top 10. Although this is not confirmed 100%, there are some credible sources that have verified it’s legitamacy. Now this is basically the pinnacle of the the hype driving the EDM scene, but is one of the only judgements of the entire EDM scene.
Armin Van Buuren is back at #1, and Avicii has crept all the way to #3. Young gun Hardwell makes it to the top 10? Very crazy. Skrillex makes his way to the top 10 finally. What do you think about the results? Who should have made it? Who didn’t deserve it? Fire off in the comments below.
