It's no suprise that Electric Forest is one of the TSIS crew's favorite times of the year, from the unique experience, community built around the festival, and the always epic lineup. This year, the festival was the only in America to sell out ahead of the lineup being announced, ahead of even Coachella and EDC in Vegas.
Well the not so typical festival decided to have some fun with the reveal of the 2016 lineup due to it being sold out ahead of time.
They've decided to reach out to one of the most defining factors of Eletric Forest, the community around it. They've sent out the lineup piece by piece to hand pick Electric Forest attendees. The fans are then posting the pictures and videos of the pieces online via the #EF2016Reveal hashtag.
So far it's already been unveiled that Fetty Wap, Adventure Club, Bonobo (DJ Set), STS9 and Flosstradamus have been announced among many more sure to come.
We will be adding to the running list of names below live as they pop up online until the full lineup is out. Enjoy!
Lightning in a Bottle has become one of the most unique and exciting festival experiences over the past 11 years with their beautiful location in Central California. This year they return May 25-30th with their most dynamic lineup to date as they continue to bring their visionary experience of art, healing, self-awareness, and education in addition to the world-class lineup they’ve cultivated.
Once again, the festival organizers have outdone themselves with an impressive lineup bringing the talents of headlining acts Chet Faker, Jaime XX, Grimes, Moderat, Four Tet, Cashmere Cat, Big Gigantic, and The Polish Ambassador. Other notable artists include Alina Baraz, Marian Hill, Hundred Waters, Mija, Rubblebucket, TOKIMONSTA, Emancipator Ensemble, Mr Carmack, Autograf, Hayden James, PANTyRAID, G Jones, and Minnesota among many many more. After much speculation and lots of hope Bassnectar has finally answered all fans wishes with his first ever camping festival, taking place in none other than Colorado, his national home base. After years of epic back to back nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater, he is now taking his band of freaks and bassheads to Dicks Sporting Goods Field, the same venue Phish has taken over for the past few years with great success.
The festival will be taking place on July 29th and July 30th and is sure to be an event no one should miss out on.
On top of the event being headlined by the man himself, the lineup has also been revealed to feature Flux Pavilion, Wu-Tang Clan, Flying Lotus, Porter Robinson, Lupe Fiasco, AlunaGeorge, Minnesota, G Jones, Dabin and Thriftworks.
We are sure he's bound to close out the festival both nights and most likely have a range of surprises up his sleeves.
Pre-sales have sold out.
Public on sale is this Friday (1/15/16/).
Ultra Music Festival is one of the most popular and massive electronic music festivals in the entire world, annually taking place down in Miami. The lineup always features some of the top names from all sides of the globe, and this next year they continue to just that with the first wave.
Headliners include the usual suspects Avicii, Tiesto, Zedd, Martin Garrix, Knife Party, and Kaskade among many more in addition to some newer EDM rising stars like DJ Snake, Kygo, Galantis, and more. We are also happy to see both Miike Snow and The Prodigy playing sets as both acts have reunited in the past year.
Another surprise we are very excited for is rising Aussie indie songwriter Chet Faker who puts on an incredible electronic infused live set.
We also see the rising class of last year's freshman set to truly make their mark this year including artists like SNAILS, Jauz, Marshmello, Tchami, KSHMR, Felix Jaehn, and Slander.
These are amongst many, many more notable acts, so read the full list of the first wave above and keep your eyes open for more news on the event as it comes.
