This is his 4th mixtape following up the previously This Song Is Sick sponsored Young Sinatra: Undeniable and Young Sinatra. He recently got picked as apart of the annual XXL Freshmen Class. He also just signed with the iconic rap record label Def Jam Recordings. For Welcome to Forever we get to hear a far more matured artist who still holds on to his roots. The production incredible all the way throughout from producers such as No ID, Don Cannon and so many more. He also brought out some dope featured guests including Trinidad Jame$, Kid Ink, Dizzy Wright, John Witherspoon, among others. XXL Magazine just let loose their legendary Cyphers. For those unaware, these are their freestyles from each person who made it on their annual Freshmen class cover. This first video show Dizzy Wright, This Song Is Sick favorite Logic, and the incredible female rapper Angel Haze. They all really tear up the beat, but Logic manages to blow it out. He lays down exactly why there is so much hype around him, and why he just got signed to Def Jam Recordings for his debut album. One of our favorite rappers that we have been supporting since day one, Maryland based Logic just announced a monumental record deal signing with iconic record label Def Jam Recordings. His entire Visionary Music Group crew got signed, leaving him with full creative control, so we don’t have to worry about his sound changing. In the past 2 years he has released two highly succecsful This Song Is Sick sponsered mixtapes Young Sinatra: Undeniable and Young Sinatra as well as sold out all across the US and Europe, really making him the perfect candidate for the huge record deal. Now he will have all the tools to create the best possible music yet. He also locked in the legendary hip-hop producer No ID to produce his debut album, the producer famous for working with Kanye West, Jay-Z, Big Sean, Common and Nas.
For those unaware the impressive Def Jam umbrella includes Jay-Z Roc Nation, Kanye West’s GOOD Music, Rick Ross’s solo deal, Rihanna, and so many more. Now Logic will be joining the all star cast and like we mentioned bringing along his Vissionary Music Group family, so we can expect the signature Logic we love, yet working with a doper lineup of artists.
