As the year moves along we are starting to gear up for America's festival season once again, which kicks off even earlier this year thanks to one of the newest festivals on the block.
As you may know, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is taking place in Florida over March 4th, 5th and 6th in Okeechobee Florida, centrally located, not far from Orlando and West Palm Beach and only a few hours from Miami. Okeechobee was founded by one of the original members of the Bonnaroo team, who left to speerhead this project, and he seems to have brought some of the magic along. The festival, which is set to draw over 30,000 people for it's inaugural year, has an incredibly curated lineup and unique signature areas sprawled across a beautiful natural landscape.
The music curation couldn't be more on point with electronic heavy hitters including Skrillex, Bassnectar, ODESZA and Big Gigantic to hip-hop stars like Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Future and Miguel and even some big live acts like Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers, amongst many many more. They also recently revealed that it will be the first US music festival that is going to have music 24 hours a day. The Jungle stage, dubbed Jungle 51, will feature the best tech house and deep house from around the world playing from sunset to sunrise all 4 nights of the festival.
We couldn't be more excited to announce that we've partnered with the festival and Mac Miller to hook two lucky readers up with the chance to go to the festival in style. The two winners will not only get 2 VIP tickets to the festival (which includes special VIP camping, viewing areas, lounges, and more) but will also receive a travel credit as well as a meet and greet with Mac Miller and side-stage access to Mac's show.
Head to the link below to enter for a chance at winning this insane prize package. Good luck and we'll see you there!
Today we were blessed with an impressively mellow hip hop track bringing Post Malone and Mac Miller together on the same track alongside newcomer rapper Lil Uzi Vert. With production by 1st Down, who’s one half of FKi, Post teams up with with his go-to producer who he’s been on the rise with following their combined efforts on the massive hit “White Iverson.”
"Cameras" brings a slow, minimal, rolling instrumental brings shuffling hi hats, and an echoing background synth melody, along with drums that occasionally hit hard and all comes together for an excellent tranquil beat. This sexy jam is a slow moving tune to turn down to as Mac and Post hit us with their very catchy serenades about making porn at home as the two compliment each other quite well alongside Lil Uzi Vert. Post Malone is getting ready for his debut album as the “White Iverson” rapper shows he’s an artist capable of much more than his breakout single as this collab alongside Mac is sounding like a great success. Stream below and enjoy!

Governors Ball Releases 2016 Lineup Ft. Kanye West, Miike Snow, Jamie XX, Mac Miller, Chet Faker & 60+ MorePosted in News, Uncategorized by nick | Tags: Chet Faker, Governors Ball, Jamie XX, kanye west, Lineup Announce, Mac Miller, Miike Snow
Since its start in 2011, New York's impressive tastemaker festival Governors Ball has continued to shine due to its truly eclectic line-ups. Today they continue their epic career with the announce of their 6th festival and the revealing of 2016's lineup, which is quite impressive.
Scheduled for June 3rd through the 5th, the festival features Kanye West, The Strokes, The Killers, Robyn, and Beck as headliners. It also features massive acts such as Chet Faker, Jamie XX, Miike Snow, Bloc Party, Miguel, Two Door Cinema Club, Big Grams, and Matt & Kim.
For Kanye, this will be a return from his 2013 appearance at the festival where he debuted multiple new tracks off his at the time yet to be release album Yeezus. If things unfold the way they appear to be, Kanye's next album SWISH should be out before the festival, meaning attendees may have the opportunity to see an entirely new set from him as they did in 2013.
Did Governors Ball just jump over Coachella? Possibly.
Mac Miller has been kind to his fans lately with the release of his much anticipated GO:OD AM, and treated us with another track “Speed Racer” that was left off the album. Mac has improved with every release throughout the years as his material has matured while he has. Now he’s hopped on the air with Big Boy for a fresh freestyle over some throwback beats including biggie’s classic “10 Crack Commandments”, Kanye West’s “Get ‘Em High” and The Game’s “Put You On The Game.” Mac shows off his lyrical abilities and on point flows as he goes off the top while staying in pocket with the beat throughout. Enjoy!
