Mad Decent has throwing their own legendary Block Parties for the past two years and just announced which cities and dates they will be taking over this summer. Past years have included artists like Major Lazer, Baauer, Flosstradmus, Lunice, Zeds Dead, and more.
This year it’s hitting 13 cities all over United States and Canada. They are sure to have a jaw dropping lineup at each stop. So mark calendars for the city nearest you!
Dillon Francis looked to Diplo’s Mad Decent record label to release his lastest original anthem, “Messages”. From the beginning you hear the overly happy synths and on point vocal reworking all paced at Dillon’s signature slowed down Moombahton pace. It progresses to a simply massive drop that just seems to be even more epic then his previous Bootleg Fireworks. He manages to balance out the gritty edge with the overly happy breaks giving the song some great depth and variety. It is now availabel for purchase through iTunes. Enjoy!

Zeds Dead continue their strong and steady journey as musical artists and set 2013 off properly with the release of their “Hot Sauce EP”. It is easily their most daring to project to date and Diplo’s incredibly versatile Mad Decent record label couldn’t be a more fitting home to release this genre-venturing project from the Canadian duo.
Starting off the ride is “Demons”, acting as the perfect transition from the past Zeds Dead sound they are known for to the new foreign styles contained on the EP. It is an incredibly slow paced brutal banger filled with piercing spine rattling drops and retro horror samples. Next up “Mr. Sub” takes us down a refreshing techy jungle ride that is a complete 180’ in overall mood. This song, which is named after the group’s home country’s sandwich chain, provides a great stepping-stone towards the rest of the EP. “Playa” is floor shaking, siren packed, rage filled inducing rave anthem that sounds unlike anything I have ever heard. Next up is the cleverly named “Rave”, featuring a revamped breakbeats track giving a tribute to the music that filled the UK rave scene. It let’s you get lost in the engulfing breaks while still carrying out the Zeds Dead flavor you crave. The closing track “Trouble” has the duo go back to the gritty slow paced glitch-hop sound they perfected on their past EP featuring Omar LinX, Victor. The song revolves around a simple infectious piano line and drumbeat that is a slow yet powerful way to end the bold release.
All in all, the EP takes some huge risks, defying most of what is getting released right now. These are the bold signs of true artists who are leading the way, and not following the trends. You can listen to the EP below, and purchase it through through Beatport and iTunes. Enjoy.
Zeds Dead won’t stop making innovative electronic music that all manages to rattle your speakers and body a different way with every track. The Canadian duo featuring DC and Hooks are going to be releasing their Hot Sauce EP through Diplo’s Mad Decent record label on January 29th and let loose a fierce Minix sampling all 5 tracks. This follows up last year’s free Mad Decent mixtape release Victor ft. Omar Linx. Their new Hot Sauce EP features 5 intrumentals that all push the boundaries of who they are as artists.
As Mad Decent desribed the tracks: “From the opener, “Demons”, a nightmare inducing track with heavy, pulsating synths as well as keys and strings plucked straight from classic horror films to “Mr. Sub”, which displays a more minimalist approach from the duo with a bouncing bass and touches of space-disco synths and “Rave” a breakbeat monster that hits so fast they put in an audible breaths to remind listeners to take one themselves.”
Enjoy the Minimix and come back when it’s available for purchase January 29th.

Mad Decent and their new free Jeffree’s Record Label never dissapoint. Starting with the monumental Total Recall EP from Flosstradamus they have been on a hot streak with free and paid releases easily establishing themselves as one of the most diverse labels ever created. This new Magnet Jam EP is from Sibot and packs 3 incredible songs. He is based out of Africa and has done work for Die Antwoord which somewhat will give you an idea of his funky style. The first track “Magnet Jam” is an eerie funk filled glitch heavy bass BANGER that hits in all the right places. “No Question” takes you in a completely different direction with some crazy synths and wobbles. Then the last track “Tronarist” has a unique almost 80′s dance throwback flair to it, yet with Sibot’s agressive bass packed edge. All three make for an impressive EP, and for most of us a proper introduction to what Sibot is packing. Mad Decent always coming through. Please grab all three of these songs, turn them up, follow Sibot through his pages, enjoy!

Just as trippy as the audio that was just released for “About That Life” by Diplo featuring guest vocals from Jahan Lennon. The video takes me just as much by surprise, kicking up the trippy meter a couple notches, in all the best ways. Diplo captures hippy 70′s era vibe through camera shots, editing effects, and it works unbelievable well, leaving you with a warm feeling. I’ve played the song countless, times, and have already started replaying the video. Diplo never disappoints, even when he drops a song that sounds nothing like the stuff he has out. Enjoy!

Diplo never will stop surpising me.. after dropping moombahton and trap and jungle bass heavy BANGERS on the regular, he completely goes outside the box and makes an indie / hippie / folk track, showing that he could care less about genres. He teams up with singer Jahan Lennon of past Mad Decent signed group Popo to create a chilled out an indie / acid anthem that as he calls it “hippystep”. Regardless of what it is, it’s catchy, and it will have you replaying it. Some artists say they are diverse.. Diplo defines the word. Enjoy!

Alright folks.. lock yourself in and prepare yourself for an absolute chaotic fusion of genres. Say hello to London based Raf Riley. His latest release Dog Unit is released on one of our favorite record labels Mad Decent‘s free label Jeffrees which we’ve featured a few free releases from. Mad Decent, started by producer / DJ Diplo, always features some of the most diverse sounds in the world. This being no different, get ready for a beating of dubstep, electro, trap, moombahton, and some unknown bass sounds wrapped into a space themed 3 track EP. The first track “Dog Unit (Part 1) has a more BANGER trap / moombahton vibe hitting you hard with those high pitched sounds. Next up Dog Unit (Part 2) is a very epic dubstep anthem thas a dramatic flying on a spaceship vibe. Lastly Dog Unit (Part 3) is insane.. it was actually almos too much to handle, not for the feint of heart. Couldn’t have been more excited to premiere a release from Mad Decent.. easily one of the most diverse and cutting edge labels around. Turn these up, enjoy!

Paper Diamond – Turn Off The Lights (Ft. Nasimiya) (Music Video) : Incredibly Well Done Electronic Music VideoPosted in Bangin, Video by nick | Tags: Bass Music, Dubstep, Electronic, Funk, Mad Decent, Paper Diamond
In spirit of Paper Diamond’s recent freely released Wavesight EP on Mad Decent / Jeffrees, he drops off some incredibly visuals for the track “Turn Off The Lights (ft. Nasimiya)”. This is a huge anthem crossing over that obscure beat music style with parts of dubstep and pop music all with Nasimiya vocals carrying the whole track. The incredibly well done video is made up of quickly cut shots of both Nasimiya and Paper Diamond driving around in a sick car, that looks like it could be a Monte Carlo. The cartoon smoke was a good touch, but it would have been a good touch to have them smoking about 10 blunts. This is obviously only the beginning for one of our site’s favorites Paper Diamond. Turn this up, enjoy!
The video was made by our friends over at Illusive Media, they are really on top of their game.

Today I have the long awaited new project from Boulder’s own Paper Diamond. TSIS has posted Paper Diamond’s stuff since day one starting with the Levitate EP, followed by the notorious Kanye West – Power remix. Throughout the past year’s he’s continued to drop some viral bootleg remixes to Same Old Song, Wildfire, All We Do Is, and more. Now we got his 3 track all original EP, this time released on Diplo’s Mad Decent label instead of his previous Pretty Lights Music affiliation. After listening you can tell why this harder hitting style fits better with the new label. The EP features a revamped track of one track that has previously surfaced Can We Go Up. “Turn the Lights Off” features vocals from Nasimiyu, is a standout track I’ve heard there’s a HUGE music video in the works for. Then Airlift has a fresh minimal Trap vibe to it. You’ll love PD’s unique fresh vibe, giving that electronic punch yet mainting that hip hop swagger. Turn it up, enjoy!

Let me just say, you have to listen to this song all the way through, and it really sound like nothing I’ve ever heard. It’s a foreign vibed moombahton BANGER from Sticky K called “Persian Algebra” put out on Mad Decent (Diplo’s label). This track has your classic Moombah jungle sounding intro, then builds up and drops sooo CRUNCHY. The bass on this track is so full and filthy it gets you moving in a way you never thought possible. It’s hard to explain the emotions you get when you blast this song, so just find some massive speakers or headphones and sit back and get blown away, enjoy!
