[PREMIERE] Listen To Torro Torro’s Rave Anthem “Make A Move” Co-Written With Skrillex

Posted in Bangin, Premieres by nick | Tags: , , , , ,

Toronto to LA duo, Torro Torro took some time out of the spotlight last year to focus on new music and have been making quite a scene rolling it out. Following up "Cashville" and "Front 2 The Back" we have the premiere of their newest single "Make A Move". This song is a certified electro house rave anthem kicking off with smooth melodies and female vocals that were actually co-written by Skrillex himself, building up to some drops that do not let up.

This song is available as part of the OWSLA Spring 2015 Compilation which is available today. This compilation also features the previously premiered SNAILS & Big Gigantic collaboration "Funk With Me" and AWE's remix of Jack U's "Take U There" and many more.

Deadmau5 To Perform Free Show For Fans

Posted in Events, News by Bryan | Tags: , , , , ,

Iconic producer / DJ Deadmau5 has never been one to shy away from controversy (having a track record a mile long of infamous call outs with everyone from Tiesto to Ultra Music Festival), but Joel still has a faithful following and worldwide recognition for his massive contributions for propelling electronic music to the heights. Deadmau5 recently took to Twitter after a show in Miami to declare war against the "trust fund kids"  who disallowed his true fans from experiencing his music at Mansion on NYD. He even went as far to say he wouldn't play anymore Miami nightclubs in the future. This bold statement prompted the owner of Space Miami to offer to cover Deadmau5 wages in order to put on a free show at one of their venues. After weeks of waiting, it looks like the show is a 100% free show with ticket registration taking place January 28th and the show schedule on February 15th from 10pm – 5am. Say what you want about Deadmau5, but a free show of this caliber is a pretty boss move and will surely be something to not miss if you live in the area of anywhere, or able to travel. Enjoy

Ultra Music Festival Feared Cancellation from the City of Miami: Power of the EDM Community Shines

Posted in Bangin, Events, News by nick | Tags: , , , ,

Ultra Music Festival announced a few months back that it would mark history with it’s 2013 event having going down as the first ever electronic music festival to extend to two weekends. Well, the Miami City Commissioner Marc Sarnoff was not too thrilled with this deceision of the second weekend, and made a hasty decision of proposing to cancel it, despite looking at the benefit, first and foremost the $79 million added revenue Ultra Music Festival added to the City of Miami last year alone. He made false accusations accusing all attendees of the event to be drug overdosing maniacs. He failed to see how massive the event was and how important it was to so many people.

Below is a copy of the actual proposal from City Commissioner Marc Sarnoff to the City of Miami.

The community fought back fast. DJ and Electronic Music Activist Tommie Sunshine started the twitter tyrant against Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, resulting in an article in the Miami Times. There was a petition that got passed around raising over 8,000 signatures really showing how fast the electronic community can voice their opinion, especially on something as strongly as getting wrongly mislabeled by a city, and threatening the expansion of the biggest event in the country.

Now the City has agreed to stop any efforts of stopping the festivals second weekend expansion and have accepted it… all of course for a $500,000 compensation fee.

Hope to see you at either of the weekends in Miami.. or both for the die hards! This is the first example of how powerful the Electronic community really is in America!

Ultra Music Festival 2013 Announces Official Phase 1 Lineup

Posted in Events by nick | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

After much hype and speculation, and fake images getting passed around, we get the official Phase 1 Lineup for Ultra Music Festival 2013. This is the festivals 15th year and the promise to be the biggest festival ever. The first phase of the lineup is very MASSIVE and features electonic acts from all over the spectrum, from house and trance to bass music side of things, also the live acts and everyone in between. Deadmau5 despite past conflicts with Ultra has agreed to be one of the headliners of the massive Miami party. Another huge notable performance is from Swedish House Mafia as this marks 2 of their last performances ever… until the have an even bigger reunion tour in 2 years.. haha. Tickets are on sale still for the event, grab them before it sells out like the past 3 years.

Who do you hope to see on the Phase 2???

Will you be attending this year? Which weekend?
