Miami music week is in full force and our party we teamed up with Pretty Lights Music, Headtron, and Embrace Presents to throw APRES, a mini festival of artists that we have featured throughout the site. The event is happening Saturday March 23rd at Mekka Nightclub taking place over 4 different rooms for an epicly chaotic night. Last year we saw a special guest set from Pretty Light himself among others.

Tigran Mimosa aka MiM0SA has just unleashed the latest full length 21 track free album Future Trill. This genre bending free album incorporates his newer trap and hip-hop influences, while bringing in his downtempo glitchy side. The single we got to preview the release with “SWRV” represents his own progressive take on trap music. He manages to convey a certain level of sexy emotion into his productions unlike anyone else. SnowBall Music Festival 2012 Official Mixtape : 20 Song Mixtape Featuring Exclusive Downloads from Bassnectar, Gramatik, Mimosa, Griz and more!

I’ve been waiting to bring you this one for awhile now. This weekend is the SnowBall Music Festival 2012 and today I’ve got the official mixtape brought to you by Thissongissick. So most of you probably know about the festival SnowBall featuring names like Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, and The Flaming Lips, which started in Vail, Colorado and expanded to SnowGlobe in Lake Tahoe, California, and SnowMont in Killington, Vermont. Last year we put together a sick mixtape which got tons of love.

Today we continue the tradition with 20 amazing songs from artists playing the festival like Bassnectar, Major Lazer, Gramatik, Dillon Francis, Mimosa, Nit Grit, Two Fresh, Griz, and the list goes on and on. We tried to create a mixtape that highlighted the heavy bass crushing acts, to the more soulful live acts, and everything in between. SnowBall is a great balanced festival, with enough electronic to tide you over, and I really feel we did a great job at highlighting that. MiMoSA continunes to blowup across the country playing countless shows and just recently dropping the September mix. Well he’s more known for his high energy bangers like Come Around and Still Ballin remixes, but today I’ve got a more chilled out track. It’s called Sanctuary, and it’s off the album Sanctuary coming out October 25th. It defintely sounds  a lot different from the more bass heavy 58 degrees EP. I’m really liking this mellowed out drum and bass sounding track, which still maintains the distinguishable soulful MiMOSA sounds and vibe. This track is perfect in the morning, working, driving, and just about everything else. It’s definitely got a different vibe then most the stuff I post up here, which I love to do, open up peoples minds to new music. Turn it up, chill out, enjoy!

MiMOSA – 58 Degrees: Sick New Fresh Dubstep EP

MiMOSA is defintely one of the bigger players in this rising new bass music scene. You guys loved his anthem featuring Lil Wayne F.T.A.M.F., the Days Go By (MiMOSA Remix), and the recently posted 2pac – Still Ballin (MiMOSA Remix). Well Tigran MiMOSA just dropped a brand new free 5 song EP called 58 Degrees. It’s spans over various genres, Dubstep, Glitch, even some Drum & Bass, and more. It’s filled with the perfect amount of hip-hop and other vocal sample short clips that add the perfect touch to the bass infused music that MiMOSA is known for making. This EP is a great listen and can great for homework, partying, driving, or whatever. It might not be my favorite MiMOSA work, but the more I listen it, the more It grows on me, which is always a sign of quality music. A few songs shined out above others, but all of them are so different and it’s only 5 songs, so it’s definitely necessary to download the whole thing. Check this out and enjoy!
