To say Norwegian native Kygo is blowing up would be a gross understatement as the virtually unknown producer 12 months ago has released countless viral remixes racking up millions of plays leading up to finally announcing his first of many live performances in the US; after his first performance in Paris causing a scene and his first headlining show (in Dublin) ever selling out in advanced, it seems the buzz exceeds far past the internet.
After much demand, Kygo has announced his first performance in the US, and what a better location than New York City, one of the world's largest cities. He will be performing at the legendary Webster Hall, literally a registered landmark in the city that has seen home to everyone from early American legends to near every emerging new act from electronic to live music. He will be performing on June 20th with special guests T.B.A. and tickets going on sale this Friday, February 14th at 11am EST, UPDATE:Tickets Are Available Now. Although the show is so far out, with him selling out his first headlining show in advanced, I would highly advise grabbing tickets in advanced as you don't want to be the one missing out.
BONUS: We have the incredible remix that Kygo has done to fantastic cover of MGMT's "Electric Feel" done by Henry Green. Kygo manages to work his signature melody filled magic perfectly sampling the guitar, percussion elements and vocals for a completely new track you can enjoy virtually an any hour of the day. Of course the song is available as a free download, you can stream and grab it below, enjoy!

The Underachievers made up of the young duo of AK and Issa Dash based out of New York have just released their debut mixtape Indigoism. The are apart of the Beast Coast Movement alongside Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era collective, Flatbush Zombies, and the A$AP Mob, who are all collectively helping prove that real hip-hop is both alive and on the rise. Although the group is based out of NY, they have signed with indie label Brainfeede based out of LA, founded founded by beat music legend Flying Lotus. Indigoism is instantly a release that stands out amongst all the noise that gets released so regularly. For all 17 tracks of their first tape to have so much flow filled wordplay and on point lyricism, other rappers should be scared. We got to sample Herb Shuttles and The Mahdi, and there are a few other stand out tracks like Gold Soul Theory, T.A.D.E.D., Leopard Sheppard, Maxing Out & So Devilish. You would be doing yourself wrong if you did not pick up the whole tape and fall in love with it. Enjoy

The Governors Ball NYC Music Festival 2013 Full Lineup : Impressive Lineup Including 50+ Acts on Randall’s Island, New YorkPosted in Bangin, Events, News by nick | Tags: Concert, kanye west, Music Festival, New York City, NYC, pretty lights, The Governors Ball
As the the year continues to kick off we get another incredible lineup for one of the summer’s biggest parties in America. The Governors Ball takes place every year in New York City at Randall’s Island, an actual island. The festival is taking place over the weekend of June 6th, 7th, and 8th. It seems to always have a massive lineup filled with big headliners to some of the best buzzing upcomers. The Ball’s lineup tends to be a great mixture of everything hip. From a great balance of hip-hop, electronic, indie, blues, folk, and other live acts. It seems to be a great alternative for those in the North East not looking to make the nationwide trek.
This lineup is insane. Not an event to miss for anyone within range!

Say hello to The Underachievers.. the dopest new hip-hop groups I have heard in a while. This collective is based out of NYC.. and have only been putting out music for less than 9 months.. yet sound like true veterans in the game. The last time I was this excited about a rapper was Joey Badass or A$AP Rocky. The song is called “Herb Shuttles”, and it is going to get you hooked. This is that song you will be coming back to replay, over and over. The video shows really conveys the rawness of the track. Can’t wait to hear more from these guys. Time to abuse that replay button. Enjoy!
