Luciana is the singer on the track, who you might recognize from Tiesto’s house anthem “We Own the Night”.  This track has all the recipes for a party anthem, from the rapping to smooth hooks, all tied together with an electro kick. The Cataracs have been one of our favorite electro party starters since ages ago with Like A G6, which was an underground hit long before it made it’s way to the airwaves. Well they recently teamed up with none other than Sky Blu, one half of LMFAO to create the latest underground party BANGER to help close out 2012 called “Alcohol”. Right from the begginning you can tell these two party beasts have created a hit with it’s infectious beat and signature Sky Blu flow. Journey vs. David Guetta feat. Usher – Journey Without You (3LAU & Acetronik Mashup) : Sick Party Mashup Collaboration

To kick off the weekend I have a party Mashup perfect for pre-gaming, or for those of you studying, listen to this and think about all your friends out having a good time. 3LAU and Acetronik combine party classic ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ with the new Usher and Guetta single ‘Without You’ to make a nicely mixed Mashup. This is definitely one of the more Poppy Mashups I’ve heard in a minute, but I can’t deny that it makes me want to throw down everything im doing and start partying. The two Dj’s keep it interesting by mixing beat of the two songs as well as the acapellas together. It does get little dragged out times though, it’s long for a Mashup, (almost 5 minutes) and at points theres just an instrumental loop playing with no vocals. Take a listen and enjoy this Party Mashup!

2011, in the house world has been the summer of Avicii, with song ‘levels‘ being one of the most buzzed songs of the year. His set at Red Rocks during ‘Global Dance Festival‘ was one of the most epic sets of the summer for me. Since his official release of ‘Levels’ a few days ago the song has been getting a whole new run in the spotlight. Captain Cuts turns the massive single into a great party Mashup that uses playful acapellas by The Knocks. The Knocks are a very talented live Electronic duo out of New York City. I thought that along with having a great name, Captain Cuts Mashup is really on point. The Mashup flows nicely and is sure to keep any party going. Enjoy!

DOSVEC aka Dj Whatt is a Mashup artist from New York City that goes by a few different monikers. Regardless of what he goes by this Mashup will get any party started. He samples many different genres in one song including Pop, Dubstep, and House. The song is interesting the whole way through, changing up quickly and never dragging on a sample or loop. Today I’ve got the very sick, chill, laid back debut album from Mike Stud, A Toast to Tommy. We’ve featured a handful of the tracks off this, including College Humor and Back Again (Ft. Huey Mack). Mike does a great job at making a hiphop album that everyone can enjoy, he’s got some solid flow, mixed with some great production, ends up with a feel good album perfect for partying or chilling. It’s cool to think, because this is the first huge release for this artist, and look where he’s gone off that. Timeflies – The Scotch Tape : Well Done Electronic / Hip Hop / Pop Album

Pop music is something I usually let stay on the radio, but recently The Scotch Tape has been really growing on me. If you havent’t heard of this duo from Boston MA, it would be too easy to take one look at this album and brush it off as another Hip-hop/Pop artist trying to blow up. These guys may have a poppy sound, but its great. Cal, the vocalist both sings and raps and kills at both. His lyrics are clever and new, and his voice does not sound like a rapper trying to sing. Rob Resnick Throws down on all the production, and let me say the kid is a pro. His range of production goes all the way through from Pop, Hip-Hop, Electronic, and Dubstep. It is not often that both rapper and producer are highlighted equally. Either of them could be doing it on their own, but in todays music world this is a much more powerful force. The whole record its self is crisp and well produced. They also made a Sick Music Video To Their Song; Turn It Up. We don’t typically too much Pop or R&B sounding material, but this is pretty sick, what do you think? This album dives into a bunch of genres, with a poppy electronic theme. We picked a harder dubstep track and a more hip hop based track to sample the album. Give it a listen and enjoy!
