We get another sampling off the epic Official Soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino‘s newest film “The Man With The Iron Fists”, which we already featured Kany West’s “White Dress”. The whole soundtrack is getting executively produced by the RZA (from Wu-Tang Clan). This track is an unexpected match up of RZA himself rapping with American rock band The Black Keys. The combinaton of the rap and rock influecne come together for a very raw gritty flavor that couldn’t be more perfect for a Tarantino film. Enjoy!

Today I’ve got another full glass of electronic infused, funky, sexy music following up their Man of the Hour EP. It’s the debut full album from Nashville duo Cherub. They are one of the groups still using those crazy things called instruments, and singing? Whoa. They do a great job at creating live music fused with electronic elements. They are basically a sexier MGMT, no homo. Just listen and you’ll understand what I mean. Girls go crazy over these guys. do your self a favor and hop on the Cherub train before you look like a bandwagon fan in a few months.
Some of my favorite tracks included Hold Me (Featuring Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic), Dear Body, La Casa Del Obispo, Monogamy, and Doses and Mimosas. Check out those tracks in particular, on top of grabbing the entire album. Enjoy!

Today I’m very pleased to bring you the debut EP from one of my favorite upcoming groups, LA based Mansions on the Moon. This group of three talented musicians, has really had an amazing past 12 months. They’ve had a very successful Paridise Falls mixtape presents by Diplo, toured with Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. After touring with Mac, they ended up producing one of my favorite tracks of the album PA Nights. They followed this up with a couple very cathy remixes like the Foster the People one. Well this 5 song Ep, which we already got to hear a few tracks off of, is nothing but amazing. All 5 tracks sound very different, but all carry the defined Mansions sound. It was nearly impossible to pick a favorite, defintely grab the whole thing, listen all the way through, enjoy!

Today I’ve got a track of an official remix from Deadmau5 of Foo Fighters. This mix got released a little while ago, but I thought it was fitting since Deadmau5 and the Foo Fighters are going to be performing this track live tonight at the 54th annual Grammys. It seems like it leans a little bit more on the rock side with some Deadmau5 flavor added. Make sure and watch the Grammy’s to see Deadmau5 DJ on national television. Also good luck to Deadmau5, Skrillex, A-Trak, and Swedish House Mafia as they compete to win a variety of Grammy’s.UPDATE SPOILER: Skrillex Won Best new Album and Best Song for Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, and Best Remix for Benny Benassi – Cinema (Skrillex Remix)!! Congrats Skrillex! Your’e taking electronic music to new levels in America! It’s pretty wild seeing electronic music really get this huge of respect from the Grammy’s, and the American mainstream essentially. I knew electronic music has been gaining power, and tonight is a definite turning point. Turn it up, enjoy!

This track is another great Mansions track, it’s complete with chill vibes, live instrument, and an electronic flair. All of their tracks have a cinematic quality that let’s you get lost it it. Pretty Lights – Wayfaring Stranger (ft. LeAnn Rimes & Ralph Stanley) : Must Hear New Electronic / Rock CollaborationPosted in Bangin by nick | Tags: BANGER, Collaboration, Country, Dubstep, Electronic, Glitch, LeAnn Rimes, pretty lights, Ralph Standley, rock, Sample
So you may have seen the epic collaboration between Skrillex and American music legends The Doors ‘Well I’ve got another insane collaboration between a few other American music legends. For this one, one of the kings of electronic music Pretty Lights teams up with country stars LeAnn Rhymes and Ralph Standley. Derek typically samples a bunch of older rock tracks, so it’s sick to hear him actually team up with two influential muscians and make some original new tracks. It’s got the classic PL vibe to the track. Turn it up, enjoy!
Skrillex ft The Doors – Break’n A Sweat : Insane New Collaboration featuring Guitarist and KeyboardistPosted in Bangin by nick | Tags: Collaboration, Dubstep, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, rock, Skrillex, The Doors
Today I’ve got an insane unreal collaboration. It’s between Skrillex and the remaining members of The Doors. It features Skrillex’s high energy bass filled sound with The Door’s Robby Krieger’s guitar and Ray Manzarek’s legendary keyboard riffs. This is a track that’s apart of project called Re: Generation connecting modern artists and older artists to create some new music. The singing in this track through me off a little bit, but the breakdowns and every other part of the song are pretty damn epic. Enough talking, turn up the bass, enjoy!
