Rusko is a musician who has been releasing on labels for years, but at the same time has been a strong advocate of giving away his music for free. He recently announced after label complications that would be giving all of his music in the future. This is starting with newest KAPOW EP. It’s a 4 song EP featuring some of his tradiatonal dubstep sounds yet delivered in a fresh way on “Yeah”, “Bring It Back”, and  “BOOKASHA” It also includes the glitch-hop track “Like This”. He defintely broke the genre boundries on this, all while maintaining his signature HUGE Rusko sound. He’s the kind of artists that while it does sound good on laptop speakers, you should find some proper headphones or soundsystem to fully appreciate the EP. Enjoy the free download!

Rusko drops us off the next single off his upcoming free KAPOW EP slated for an upcoming release on his own Rusko Recordings. We already got a sample off the album with “Like This”, and this track “Booyakasha” is on the same level. It’s got his huge sounding bass sounds, delivered in a new way. So by now you probably have heard the newest collaboration between dubstep producer / DJ Rusko, and hip hop group Cypress Hill. The audio for the song was very sick, and created a fresh sound that pleases dubstep fans but also would make a huge hip hop hit, and one I wouldn’t mind listening to. This video is very sick, filled with a high speed mixture of shots of Cypress and Rusko playing in a moving train while mountains, trees, and other objects outside of them gets blown apart and pieced together with lots of visually stunning effects. I’ve seen a lot of music videos use video effects like this, but I haven’t seen any this good. I could see this video making it’s way to the TV. Turn it up, enjoy!

It’s called ‘Roll It, Light It’, and features some bass packed dubstep whomps, and smoke themed lyrics from Cypress Hill. The sound works pretty well, with a very unique vibe. Rusko – Somebody To Love (Music Video) : New Must Hear Dubstep Track + Video

I was stoked to see a new Rusko track complete with video, but didn’t know what to expect. Some of his more recent tracks like Everyday had a far more melodic trance feel to them, so wasn’t sure if he was gonna go heavy ver melodic. Well this track shows that you can do both, it’s got his new mature melodic almost trance sound, mixed with his signature Rusko bass crunch. The video follows an elderly couple as they find true love at a Rusko show, complete with light shows, ‘Wake the Fuck Up’ shirts, and all. Enjoy the comical video and epic new track. Rusko – Remix Collection : Must Hear New Dubstep Remix Collection Ft. Kid Cudi, The Prodigy, and More (16 Songs)

Today I’ve got an amazing christmas gift from one of my favorite names in Dubstep, Rusko. It’s a 16 song remix album composed of all the remixes he’s released from 2006 to 2010. It consists of some from Kid Cudi’s ‘Day n Nite’ to his famous Kid Sister – Pro Nails remix, and so many more in between. It ranges from his super filthy dubstep to alot more of his more melodic chiller stuff that I think is the sickest. Rusko – Everyday (Netsky VIP Remix) : New Chill Drum and Bass Remix

It’s always refreshing hearing a completely new version of  a track you love, not necessarily harder all the time. Today I’ve got the Netsky VIP remix to Rusko’s ‘Everyday’, the massive dubstep anthem that got released earlier this year. There was the original Netsky remix posted here, and DEFEP’s electro house take on the track, but this one may take the cake. It’s got a prolonged chill intro, and the heavier drop doesn’t come in till the end, really making have more suspense. Turn up the bass for this track, enjoy!

Mike Posner – The Layover : New Chill Hip Hop / R&B Mixtape

Today I’m very excited to bring you the newest mixtape release from Mike Posner, and he delivers a real solid blend of his older hip hop style and his newer more R&B sound.  This mixtape has a huge list of special guests like Big K.R.I.T., Rusko, The Knocks, Twista, Cassie Veggies, Machine Gun Kelley, Bun B, and some more names you might recognize. It’s a great blend of his very solid singing and some rapping. The production is very well done including the collab with dubstep icon Rusko ‘Shut Up’. Every track has in (parenthesis) next to it what Mike Posner thinks you should be doing while listening to the track, (driving, smoking, and more are on the list), it’s a cool idea. Theres’ some highlight tracks, but the whole thing is a great listen through, especially if you dig the softer stuff, turn it up, enjoy!

Rusko – Everyday (DEFEP Remix) : HUGE New Electro House Remix of a Dubstep track

Everyone knows Rusko’s lastest single Everyday. The song and the video are definitely  testaments to the musical direction he’s going towards, with the bigness of the song not being in the bass, but in the melody and beat. Leave it up to everyone else to remix his excellent beats and songs into the dance floor bangers that you hear every weekend. This remix is a fresh take on the original and DEFEP (Dallas K‘s side project) takes a Drum & Bass song and turns it into an Electro House Banger. The sampling at the very beginning lets you know whats coming and then breaks into the vocal sample that we all know with some big ol’ housey chords mixed in. It finally drops with a lead synth that will get anyone pumped. Grab this sick new track and put it on repeat. Check out the Netsky version if you haven’t yet. Enjoy!
