Rusko drops off “Light Me up”, the first highly anticipated single from his debut EP on Skrillex’s OWSLA Records. English to LA dubstep artist Rusko has was bouncing between Diplo’s Mad Decent label and recently announced his signing with Skrillex’s OWSLA label and will be releasing his the Lift Me Up EP on July 2nd. To kick off the release we have “TAKE OFF” from the EP available for free download. It’s a glitched out dubstep bass banger filled with a catchy vocal sample carrying out the song. He is asking that you “tweet to download” the track for free. I’m liking this more then his previous Kapow EP.
Rusko is a musician who has been releasing on labels for years, but at the same time has been a strong advocate of giving away his music for free. He recently announced after label complications that would be giving all of his music in the future. This is starting with newest KAPOW EP. It’s a 4 song EP featuring some of his tradiatonal dubstep sounds yet delivered in a fresh way on “Yeah”, “Bring It Back”, and “BOOKASHA” It also includes the glitch-hop track “Like This”. He defintely broke the genre boundries on this, all while maintaining his signature HUGE Rusko sound. He’s the kind of artists that while it does sound good on laptop speakers, you should find some proper headphones or soundsystem to fully appreciate the EP. Enjoy the free download!

You shouldn’t try and listen to this song without proper headphones or speakers. Turn it up, enjoy!

I got excited over a year ago when I heard about this epic collaboration fusing dubstep and hip-hop. Now we get the long awaited Cypress x Rusko EP from Rusko and Cypress. We’ve heard Roll It, Light It, and Lez Go, and now we get the whole EP. Cypress’ hood vibe meshes incredibly well with Rusko brutal bass sound. Now as heavy as Rusko gets on this EP, he keeps it playable for the masses. Turn it up and Enjoy!

Rusko & Cypress Hill – Lez Go
Here’s the next track from Rusko and Cypress Hill, following up their previous Roll It, Light It. For this track they recruited added Travis Barker (Blink 182) to the mix. The video shows how much energy they bring when these artists play together live. The raw rap engegy and Rusko’s bass heavy drops mesh together nicely. Turn this up, enjoy!
Rusko x Cypress Hill – Lex Go (Ft. Travis Barker)
So by now you probably have heard the newest collaboration between dubstep producer / DJ Rusko, and hip hop group Cypress Hill. The audio for the song was very sick, and created a fresh sound that pleases dubstep fans but also would make a huge hip hop hit, and one I wouldn’t mind listening to. This video is very sick, filled with a high speed mixture of shots of Cypress and Rusko playing in a moving train while mountains, trees, and other objects outside of them gets blown apart and pieced together with lots of visually stunning effects. I’ve seen a lot of music videos use video effects like this, but I haven’t seen any this good. I could see this video making it’s way to the TV. Turn it up, enjoy!
