The Dean’s List, the hip hop trio from Phil who brought us the very catch The Drive In mixtape which featured their All Systems Go (Ft. OnCue) music video. Well today we get a new track from the guys, and they continue to really craft their own sound. The production was incredibly well done and has very unique electronic almost dark tone to it. Sonny Shotz – Never Good (Bonobo Remix) : New Chill Electronic / Hip Hop Remix

Sonny Shotz, lead singer in The Dean’s List, who brought you I’m Only Twenty (Produced by Brenton Duvall), is back with a new release, this time a remix from Bonobo. Bonobo is a real talented producer from the UK who makes some amazing electronic music.  It’s really cool to see him working and up and coming American rapper. He kept Sonny’s vocals alone, and made a real chill electronic beat perfect for kicking back. It’s got a real fresh feel to it. Can’t wait to see what else we get sent from these guys. I featured The Drive In by The Dean’s List, and now I’ve got a new track from the front man of the group Sonny Shotz.This track is produced by Brenton Duvall, the kid who brought you Time for What You Want (Ft. Biggie) , Mean Planes and Paper Gangs, Lights! (Ft. Wale, Ellie Goulding) and more. This track has Brenton’s signature vocal sampling this time using a sample from Frank Ocean of Odd Future. This track has a great beat, and Sonny’s vocals are legit, making a short but sweet new song. Check it out and enjoy!

The Dean’s List – The Drive In : Must Hear Chill Hip-Hop Mixtape

Today I’ve got a really great mixtape from a group I’ve featured far too little of, The Dean’s List. They dropped this mixtape The Drive In earlier this year, and it hardly sounds like a mixtape at all, but a free album. The production is great all the way throughout, and the combinations of the vocals make for a really sick collection of songs. It’s got the feel good, no worries, summer feel, which is fitting with it turning into summer. I’ve picked a few favorites, but defitnely download the whole thing and enjoy!
