It already been announced that the massive 3 day long Colorado snow music festival SnowBall had relocated from the Vail area to Winter Park for 2013. The festival has always had one of the freshest most diverse lineups not just in Colorado but on the West coast. They have consistently had a great blend of the hottest new electronic, live band, and hip-hop acts all at the same festival to enjoy while freezing your ass off. Well now for the big switch of locations, this lineup completely makes up for the move. The headliners include past attendee Colorado electronic icon Pretty Lights who knows how to shut a festival down. STS9 makes their highly anticipated debut Snow festival appearance which is sure to be one to remember. Rowdytown headliner, fellow Colorado Native Big Gigantic are set to unleash their new stage setup. The man bringing real hip-hop back to American mainstream… Kendrick Lamar. One of our favorite rising Electro stars Porter Robinson is set to have a epic headlining performance. Datsik will probably drop bass louder then you have ever heard.. literally. Flying Lotus is one of the most intelligent producers and will take you too another world with his future sounding productions. The collaboration project between GRiZ and Gramatik aka Grizmatik will be performing their first official festival performance with live production. And those are only the headliners playing the festival, look above / below at the rest of the jaw dropping lineup. These are more then enough reason to rage in the freezing snow for 3 days for an unforgettable weekend filled with snow and music. Hope to see everyone out in the snow this year!

Posted in Bangin, Events, Premieres by nick | Tags: Best Coast, Big Gigantic, Buku, Buku Music & Art Project, Calvin Harris, Flux Pavillion, Kid Cudi, Major Lazer, Nero, New orleans, Passion Pit, Primus 3D, STS9Easily one of the most enjoyable festivals of this past year was Buku Music & Art Project which took place in New Orleans last march. The festival had an intimate vibe being under 10,0000 people, and took place right on the water at Mardi Gras World, the famed warehouse / shipyard that all of the insane Mardi Gras floats get built at year round. The uniquely set festival also boasted a jaw dropping lineup which featured Skrillex, Wiz Khalifa, Avicii, Diplo, Big Gigantic, Porter Robinson, Big K.R.I.T., and Wolgang Gartner among others. With so many of the aritsts from last years lineup exploding in size, I coudln’t help but wonder how they could possibly match the lineup.. Well look below and you will see they more then matched it, it might be even better! The festival will be returning to New Orleans in 2013 for the weekend of March 8th and March 9th. Jay-Z Triple Remix and Mashup Post!
Posted in Bangin, Chill by nick | Tags: Don Diablo, Electro, Hip-Hop, indie, Jay-Z, mash-up, Oasis, Phoenix, Rap, rock, STS9Tonight Jay-Z is performing at the Pepsi Center, and I am lucky enough to have a friend who’s giving me one of his 9th row tickets, opening up for Jay-Z is Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, and randomly enough STS9, well I haven’t been this excited for a show in awhile, enjoy these Jay-Z mashups and remix. First up we’ve got a real sick remix of Public Service Announcement by Jay-Z, which at first seems like a very subtle remix, but gets progressively more intense throughout the whole song and then just goes into an intense electro/dubstep break at about 2:40 so be prepared for it haha. It’s done by the very talented group Clockwork making their name out of the LA scene. It’s a pretty sick remix though, worth checking out.
Jay-Z – Public Service Announcement (Clockwork Fellow Americans Remix)
Alright next up is such a sick combination of 3 songs. It features Jay-Z’s 99 problems which has been mashed up alot, but this is one is just so sick. It also features the growing in popularity Phoenix, and Don Diablo all together to produce a very sick indie/dance sounding version of 99 Problems which comes together very nicely. This is one that really deserves a full listen through, then give me your thoughts, enjoy.

Next and lastly we’ve got a mash-up alot of you guys might not think the idea of works, but surprisingly it does. It’s the great Jay-Z mashed with Oasis, it sounds a little wtf, but then you get used it and enjoy it a little bit haha. Well let me know your opinions on all these Jay-Z tracks, and send me one if you’ve got it through the dropbox on the right. Enjoy as always!
