In an unexpected collaboration, The Knocks have teamed up with Powers and Fetty Wap, the man behind “Trap Queen,” which you all have inevitably gotten stuck in your head at some point or another. Fetty kicks off “Classic" with a rapping/singing verse showing off his knack for writing some of the catchiest hip hop out there right now. The Knocks bring a chill house meets nu-disco vibe with funky guitar riffs and bouncing melodic synths that set a perfect foundation for a Fetty verse and Power’s vocals to shine throughout. Enjoy!

Undeniably one of the biggest tracks off the recent Jack Ü album was Where Are Ü Now featuring Justin Bieber. New York City based Nu-Disco masters The Knocks released part three of their Summer Bootleg Series today choosing to remix the ever-popular track. I’ve heard a few other remixes already but The Knocks version might be the most complete and full sounding one to date. Fusing their signature nu-disco melodies with layers of wind instruments and other subtle samples combined with the smooth Bieber vocals, this remix really becomes something special. No sign of a release date or download but enjoy the stream below.

One of our favorite New York acts is without a doubt the always fresh duo The Knocks. We’ve featured them an extensive amount on TSIS over the years. Well the guys have been locked in the studio for the past few months and have said they have accumulated nearly 3 albums worth of material. To celebrate the end of the studio sessions they have released a brand new song “Dancing With Myself”, and while there’s no details on if this is on an upcoming album or just a one off, it’s pretty amazing. We hear a slightly downtempo side full of infectious synths and piano lines and even an epic sax solo at the very end of the track. Enjoy!

Breakout UK producer and DJ Mat Zo who's unable to stick with one style or genre has always wanted to do things his own way, so estasblishing his own imprint within the electronic world only made sense. Mat Zo joins the ranks of Diplo (Mad Decent), Skrillex (OWSLA), Claude VonStroke (Dirtybird), A Trak (Fools Gold) and others by starting his very own music label called Mad Zoo and has wasted little time in putting out its debut release via a two track The Up Down Left Right EP. The first single off the release is a disco-filled collaboration with The Knocks titled "Get Up 2 Get Down", and the newest track showcases Mat Zo at his finest yet again as he puts together an techy array of electro twists and house appeal on "Left and Right". The EP is available for free download for a limited time only thanks to Mat Zo, so we strongly urge you to act on this gift now and be sure to look out for more releases via Mad Zoo in the near future! We were looking for a great track to keep everyone's weekend going and couldn't find anything new that quite hit the spot like this remix from The Knocks we've been sitting on for a couple of months. The New York duo that is on fire, recently letting loose the first single " from their upcoming EP, have taken on fellow New York producer Party Supplies' song "Going Back to New York" from his recent artist album Tough Love. Here are Ben Ruttner (B ROC) of The Knocks thoughts on making the song:
"When I heard this song it really struck a chord with me because of always being on the road away from NYC and instantly wanted to remix it. We wanted to make it the perfect soundtrack for a drive home to New York City."
Their goal for remixing the song was to create the perfect soundtrack for coming back to New York City, and I think they have managed to do so, yet no matter what city you are located you will find it hard to not get down to this song. Stream below and grab a free download thanks to The Knocks. Enjoy!
