CROOOOOOKERS! The name is synonymous for being one of the most influential electronic music producers within the last decade. Though the original partnership of the group is no more, Crookers (which is now under Phra's guidance) continues to pump out signature house music which dabbles in various sub-genres. His newest track "Heavy" is a danceable Tech-House heater featuring a body grooving bass line, fierce break and quite the climatic vocal sample. Brooklyn, New York based electronic producer / DJ Gramatik has kept us anxiously waiting for his biggest project to date, The Age Of Reason, which Thissongissick.com has the exclusive first listen of the album in its entirety! Denis brought a talented cast of singers and muscians for The Age of Reason; working with the likes of Cherub, ILLUMNTR, Orlando Napier, and his Lowtemp label-mates Gibbz and Exmag. Before layering his collaborators tracks with the perfect amount of bass and funk, Gramatik samples their various instruments to give each tune a unique live band anesthetic. My personal favorite is "Torture", a song which features the talented Eric Krasno on guitar and vocals. New addition to the project Eric Mendelson of Exmag plays guitar all throughout the album providing an undeniable soul to Gramatik. If you have caught Gramatik at a festival or venue over the past year, chances are you've heard some of these tracks. We are less then a month into the year and I will already claim this as being one of the best album releases of 2014. You can stream it in full below, and will be available for FREE download exclusively via torrenting the album at bittorrent.com Saturday!

The seriously taleneted Scandinavian based Pegboard Nerds might be a new name to some, yet have a sound that rivals the quality of Knife Party and Skrillex. They recently teamed up with 4 piece electronic outfit Splitbreed, which include a singer and rapper on top of 2 other DJ’s to create something really special. “We Are One” packs a beautiful melody that shines through a brutal bass heavy explosion with some incredible singing and rapping layered over to tie it all in. The track works out so perfectly from start to finish. It is set to release tomorrow, February 1st, through Beatport. Turn it up, enjoy!
