Indie Electro live group Capital Cities who are based out of Los Angeles just got a incredible remix of their latest single “Safe & Sound”. Tommie Sunshine teamed up with Live City to create a massive electro house remix fit to set off rooms big and small. It has a nice progressive lead with some clean vocal sampling with a a very epic feeling.  It features an insanely catchy melodic synth line that will have you bouncing around. Ther is even a contrasting horn filled Tommie just missed the deadline by a day for this to get officially release, so asked me while running into him in Miami to release it for free through TSIS. Pegboard Nerds ft. Splitbreed – We Are One : Must Hear House / Hip-Hop [TSIS PREMIERE]

The seriously taleneted Scandinavian based Pegboard Nerds might be a new name to some, yet have a sound that rivals the quality of Knife Party and Skrillex. They recently teamed up with 4 piece electronic outfit Splitbreed, which include a singer and rapper on top of 2 other DJ’s to create something really special. “We Are One” packs a beautiful melody that shines through a brutal bass heavy explosion with some incredible singing and rapping layered over to tie it all in. The track works out so perfectly from start to finish. It is set to release tomorrow, February 1st, through Beatport. Turn it up, enjoy!

Bon Iver – Woods (Zeds Dead Remix) : Must Hear Melodic Indie / Dubstep Remix [TSIS PREMIERE]

Last week we premiered Zeds Dead’s RinseFM mix, and at the end of the massive 50 minute mix they debuted their newest remake of a classic indie song “Woods” by Bon Iver. It’s an older track from the indie artist that might be familiar for being sampled in Kanye West‘s “Lost In the World”. Here’s some words from Zeds about reviving the old remix: “We did this tune a few years back but somehow lost the project on an old hardrive. It’s from a time where we were doing a lot of bootleg remixes that helped define our initial sound. We did so many tracks that got shelved for one reason or another but we always liked the vibe on this one. It turned up the other day, so we polished it up and are giving it away for free to celebrate.”  ”Zeds Dead takes listeners on a musical journey into the future by giving this indie track a bass-heavy electronic backbone.” They use the right amount of the original powerful vocals, with their signature dynamic edge. After 2pac comes back from the dead through Hologram form at Coachella, it only seems fitting to drop a bass heavy track featuring some of his vocals. Even better, Notorious B.I.G. is here to accompany Pac on this track. This is a new bass heavy glitchy track from heRobust, a fresh new electronic producer / DJ from Atlanta, Georgia. It has a quick intro with a minor tease before the real crunchy drop. This features “Crush On You” by Biggie and “Do For Love” by 2pac. heRobust does a great job at sampling both rappers and really creating a new track with a fresh hip hop vibe and a crunchy electronic edge. The Dean’s List – Take Shape (Music Video) : Chill Hip Hop Song w/ Outrageous Video [TSIS PREMIERE]

I love it when muscisians actually go through the effort of making a unique music video, with a story and everything. Today I have the latest music from another one of my favorite rising hip hop groups, The Dean’s List. Their recent Generation X album continued to show how great of muscians they all are. This track ‘Take Shape’ from the album has a catchy electronic beat with Sonny’s signature flow. The hilarious video featuring all of the guys in the group in wigs acting rediculous, raging around at parties, and then getting busted by the cops. Check it out, chill, enjoy!

Porter Robinson – Say My Name (Conspirator Remix) : Heavy Electro House Remix (Ft. Members of The Disco Biscuits) [TSIS PREMIERE]

Today I’ve got a real massive remix of Porter Robinson’s intial hit ‘Say My Name’, done by live electronic band Conspirator. They are the new heavy electronic powered group featuring members of The Disco Biscuits. The made the Avicii – Seek Bromance remix that a simliar heavy electronic meets live electronic band sound that worked very well. This track is a lot more agressive and heavy then the original. This is the official release of the song, there are no plans to sell it, and Porter has given full approval. Turn up the bass, enjoy!

Quick Inside Look at Porter Robinson – Thissongissick Interview [TSIS EXCLUSIVE]

Hey guys, we’ve been going through some changes, and have a sick interview that we did a few months ago with Porter Robinson. This is a quick inside look at Porter Robinson, showing his thoughts on how people react to music, a breakdown of what he has in store with his live sets, outlook on touring, past thoughts on making “the most exciting drop ever”, and his 2 goals in making music. His Spitfire album has been incredibly successful, (listen to the whole thing below), and he’s been touring with countless big names like Skrillex, Tiesto, Zedd, and a ton more. This really is the year for Porter.

Porter states how his original goal was to make “the most exciting drop ever”. then moves onto his admiration for hyper detailed music from artists like Wolfgang Gartner and Noisia, but liked how “hard and danceable they kept they’re music”. He ends with his conclusion for his outlook on making music “Fuck everything else except for those two goals, I want to be complex,  and I want it to be agressive.”  He certainly does both of those so well, and been doing nothing but making HUGE waves since the interview. It was a great pleasure to sit down with Porter, and it’s really amazing to see how big he is getting, and how fast. Hope everyone enjoyed this quick inside look on Porter Robinson.

Mansions on the Moon – Lightyears EP : Must Hear Indie / Electronic / Alternative [TSIS PREMIERE]

Today I’m very pleased to bring you the debut EP from one of my favorite upcoming groups, LA based Mansions on the Moon. This group of three talented musicians, has really had an amazing past 12 months. They’ve had a very successful Paridise Falls mixtape presents by Diplo, toured with Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. After touring with Mac, they ended up producing one of my favorite tracks of the album PA Nights. They followed this up with a couple very cathy remixes like the Foster the People one. Well this 5 song Ep, which we already got to hear a few tracks off of, is nothing but amazing. All 5 tracks sound very different, but all carry the defined Mansions sound. It was nearly impossible to pick a favorite, defintely grab the whole thing, listen all the way through, enjoy!

Today I’ve got an epic exclusive new remix from the talented Savoy, the guys who just dropped the dubstep anthem I’m In Need, which went to #1 on beatport dubstep charts by the way. This really reminds me of their more older electro driven tracks like Automatic. It’s an incredibly well done house/electro remix of Dirty Dancer by Enrique Iglesias featuring Lil Wayne. It’s got a nice long buildup, then a fierce electro drop at 2:30. Turn up the bass, enjoy!
