We got the first taste of this future indie electronic funk from the future with the song “Lovvver”. The other two songs on the project, “Next One” and “We Are..” are equally as good, really showing both sides of the artists seamlessly on one track. The distorted vocals from Cherub throughout will keep you hooked, and the production from the both of them will take you away to a fresh undiscovered place where regrets will be made, and unplanned parenthoods will occur. Niiiiceee.. Remember the incredibly catchy “Du Du Doo” by Two Fresh? Well it just got an extra fresh remix from GRiZ. He is the talented young producer who recently released one of the best electronic albums of the year Mad Liberation, for free. He flips the smooth Two Fresh’s track into a funky bass heavy BANGER. Like most songs  from GRiZ, the track takes many turns as it progresses. Around 2 minutes it enters a high pitched moombahton-esque break that will get you moving. All in all a very solid remix, and free download. Turn this up, enjoy!

Mac Miller, after dropping the Loud music video and single he drops his long awaited next mixtape Macadelic, should have been up right when it dropped, but we were at Ultra Music Festival with horrible internet. We’ve got a lot of cool new things coming for all the hip hops fans on the site. I’d been looking forward to this, especially because I love his K.I.D.S. mixtape 10x more then the Blue Slide Park album, so maybe I just like his mixtape vibe. This 17 track mixtape features some awesome featured guests like rappers Kendrick Lamar, Juicy J, and even Lil Wayne. Then they’ve got some amazing producer for the beats like Two Fres, Lex Luger, ID Labs, and more. and. I love the mellowed out vibe, similar to Wiz Khalifa’s recent Taylor Allderice Mixtape, which was named after the high school both Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa attended. SnowBall Music Festival 2012 Official Mixtape : 20 Song Mixtape Featuring Exclusive Downloads from Bassnectar, Gramatik, Mimosa, Griz and more!

I’ve been waiting to bring you this one for awhile now. This weekend is the SnowBall Music Festival 2012 and today I’ve got the official mixtape brought to you by Thissongissick. So most of you probably know about the festival SnowBall featuring names like Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, and The Flaming Lips, which started in Vail, Colorado and expanded to SnowGlobe in Lake Tahoe, California, and SnowMont in Killington, Vermont. Last year we put together a sick mixtape which got tons of love.

Today we continue the tradition with 20 amazing songs from artists playing the festival like Bassnectar, Major Lazer, Gramatik, Dillon Francis, Mimosa, Nit Grit, Two Fresh, Griz, and the list goes on and on. We tried to create a mixtape that highlighted the heavy bass crushing acts, to the more soulful live acts, and everything in between. SnowBall is a great balanced festival, with enough electronic to tide you over, and I really feel we did a great job at highlighting that. Enjoy all of these unreleased tracks, exclusive downloads on songs that have been purchase only, and more. We really hope you take the time to listen to every track. Enjoy!

Today I’ve got an amazing new remix from a group I haven’t featured yet, Two Fresh. They are an extremely talented group based out Asheville, NC comprised of the producer duo Sherwyn and Kendrick Nicholls and live drummer Colby Buckler. They took the a very chilled out happy folk indie track ‘Bright Lit Blue Skies’ by Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti and turned into an chilled out electronic BANGER. This track is so fresh, which is so fitting with the groups name. I’ve been playing this track on repeat since I heard it, it’s just got such an amazing laid back yet crunchy feel.
