Zedd has become quite an icon over the past 2 years and has been able to transition his talents into making pop music, allowing him to naturally link up with rising songstress Ariana Grande to produce her latest single “Break Free". Despite being a surprise to both artists fans bases, the result couldn't sound anymore natural with Ariana Grande's sweet vocals shining through on the new dance anthem perfectly. This came from the singer that has said "I never thought I'd do an EDM song" and now can't get enough. This is the second single off Ariana's debut album which is set to release later this year. Listen below and enjoy!

Exclusive Behind The Scenes Footage Of Skrillex & Friends Rehearsing Before Bonnaroo “SuperJam” [FULL SETLIST]Posted in Bangin, Events, Video by nick | Tags: Big Gigantic, Bonnaroo, Chance the Rapper, Fatman Scoop, Janelle Monáe, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Skrillex, Superjam, Thundercat, Warpaint, Zedd
Bonnaroo is possibly one of the most diverse music festivals across the globe and one of the things that makes it so special is the unique "SuperJam" sets where musicians from all styles of music collaborate for once in a lifetime performances.
We reported a few months back about the announcement of Skrillex's SuperJam bringing out Big Gigantic to help set the tone just right. This is also the first ever SuperJam in Bonnaroo's history to be focused around electronic music with rappers, R&B singers, and live musicians filling out the spaces. The occasion called for Skrillex to meet with his star studded cast of band mates the week leading up to the festival to rehearse their set. In the exclusive behind the scenes footage below, we see Skrillex jaming out with the likes of legendary New Orleans rapper Mystikal, comedian / pianist Craig Robinson, both Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken of Big Gigantic, Fatman Scoop and many others.
The actual SuperJam took place on Saturday night at the festival and damn it was legendary. Ring leaders Skrillex and Big Gigantic's list of "friends" included so much raw musical talent we hope we aren't missing anyone. The list of friends includes Zedd, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, Damian Marley, Chance the Rapper, A$AP Ferg, Layrn Hill, Janelle Monae, Warpaint, Thundercat, and the surprise of Fatman Scoop, Mystikal, and Craig Robinson on the keys.
The set itself included countless covers of music outside of electronic foundations with a new set of artists coming in every 3 – 4 songs and the entire jam lasting close to three hours in length. In the truest of ways, it was the first ever Super Jam with an electronic focus to happen in front of a live audience and those who were lucky enough to witness the spectacle were treated to the rawness of creative expression in todays modern form. Those who were lucky enough to be there watching the pefroamnce with us are the only ones lucky enough to ever experience this once in a lifetime "Jam". You can view the video below of some of the madness that took place and the photo's taken. Enjoy

Skrillex and Big Gigantic Will Be Having a Superjam at Bonnaroo With Damien Marley, Zedd, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Chance the Rapper & Many MorePosted in Bangin, Events by nick | Tags: 2014, Big Gigantic, Bonnaroo, Chance the Rapper, Damian Marley, Skrillex, Superjam, Zedd
Bonnaroo is one of the largest and most legendary music festivals in the world and is infamous for it's once in a lifetime "Superjams" between some of the most amazing live acts in music. With electronic music truly making it's mark in America they have switched things up and built excitement letting it be known that Skrillex and Friends would be this year's "Superjam".
Well now we have the info and Skrillex has brought out Big Gigantic to help run the superjam, which is fitting giving their hybrid approach to electronic and live music. They list of friends includes Zedd, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, Chance the Rapper, Janelle Monae, Warpaint, Thundercat and we can expect to see much much more during the actual appearance.
This sounds like the recipe for one of the most epic fusions of both electronic and live music, ever. If you can't make it out to Bonnaroo this year then you might just have to hope this is included in the live stream of the festival.

Global Dance Festival is a festival that has been going on in Colorado for over 10 years at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre and we have had the privileged of partnering up with the only 3 day festival at our favorite venue over the past couple years and will be doing so again for 2014. The event has been making some massive changes over the past few years shifting from a strictly DJ festival to incorporating not only all shades of electronic music but even live fusion acts as well. The festival has booked every acted over it's run from Deadmau5, Tiesto, Avicii and Armin van Buuren to Skrillex, Zeds Dead and even live / electronic acts Grizmatik (GRiZ + Gramatik), Savoy and Beats Antique and many more. They have certainly always been very ahead of the curve when it comes to booking talent bringing in next years' superstars time and time again, largely due to founder of Triad Dragons, the promoter, who always has such hands on involvement every single year with booking the lineup.
This year the festival has another eclectic lineup featuring headliners Zedd, Adventure Club and Destroid alongside Carnage, Showtek, Wolfgang Gartner, Bro Safari, Andy C, ETC!ETC!, David Heartbreak and Savant. Say Hello to An Exciting New Crossover Producer Trio Signed to OWSLA “Yogi” : Zedd ‘Stay the Night’ (Yogi Remix) + ‘Christian Bale’ Through OWSLAPosted in Bangin, News, Premieres by nick | Tags: Christian Bale, OWSLA, Remix, Skrillex, Stay The Night, Thissongissick, Yogi, Zedd
Say hello to a trio of electronic crossover producers who go by the name of Yogi coming out of the UK. We recently discovered the Yogi after hearing their incredible bass remix of Zedd ft. Hayley Williams’ ‘Stay The Night’. Now we have a brand new original titled “Christian Bale”. which actually features a tastefully voice sample of the actor Christian Bale. This new release is the first taste of whats to come on Yogi’s upcoming EP being delivered on Skrillex’s OWSLA record label in 2014. Both tracks we’ve heard show the versatility the Yogi really packs, which makes sense since each producer within the group has created solo projects for quite sometime. Listen to the songs below.

Zedd – Stay the Night (Ft. Hayley Williams) (Yogi Remix)
Zedd brought out Hayley Williams of Paramore for his recent single “Stay the Night” which has been making waves ever since it’s release and now we get the official music video. We get to see Zedd playing an actual piano giving the dance single a nice organic touch. The video then moves to shots of both artists and a guy and girl moving around a couch in an interesting way. Why are their so many music videos with shots of artists in a room of hanging lightbulbs? Grab the single today as well as pre-order his upcoming release of Clarity (Deluxe Edition) set to release September 24th.

Zedd‘s huge house anthem “Spectrum” just got a incredible melody filled dubstep remix from Getter. This is a change of a pace for the producer known for making tracks on the heavier side of the spectrum. The drop smooth heavy massive, a perfect blend you can listen to during the day or the peak of a heavy set. This might be my favorite Spectrum remix to date. Thanks to Getter for the free download. Turn this up, enjoy!

Deadmau5 takes Zedd on an entertaining “Coffee Break!” car ride while interviewing him. He brings up questions about Zedd’s nationwide Clarity Tour that he has recently kicked off. Zedd also will not encouraging Deadmau5 to bring his iconic Mau5 head to his concert that evening. Zedd and Joel even comically discuss the writer of the lyrics for his song “Shave It”. We also get some typical backhanded Deadmau5 remarks slipped in the mix about Drake, Paramore and Avicii.
The video adds a very humanizing quality to both incredible producer / DJ’s. Hopefully Deadmau5 is serious and does continue this Coffee Break interview series.
Zedd has teamed up with singer Hayley Williams of Paramore for his newest track “Stay The Night” and it sounds like one of the biggest house anthems of the year. Today we get the first preview with a clip teasing us with the catchy progressive house tune. This song is set to release apart of the deluxe edition of his debut album Clarity set to release September 24th.

Just after releasing a preview we get the full version of the simply massive new remix from Zedd of Empire of the Sun “Alive”. He turns the inde summer tune into festival ready electro house anthem. It does an amazing job of leaving the smooth vocals sections in tact while smashing you with gritty basslines. We will keep you posted on the release details. Enjoy!
