The very thought of summer coming to an end is one we have trouble believing yet still have a few more top level festivals to keep us in high spirits. As people contemplate their end of season festivities, I'd like to share a few reasons why those still searching for plans should at least give thought to joining the thousands of us who will descend upon the majestic Union Park located in Chicago, IL for the fifth anniversary celebration of North Coast Music Festival; summers official last stand. Having graced this 3-day blowout event since its inception as an avid concert goer to now being a part of the official media outlet has been something of a dream come true. TSIS partnership with NCMF began last year as our interactive tent provided us the chance to connect on a personal level with you, the fans! You are the reason why we are in a position to offer and share this memorable occasion with you and to allow you to meet some of the biggest producers, DJs, rappers, and live acts in music at festivals like this and we are lining up one of our biggest official Meet and Greet at North Coast to date.

The Location

The ease of getting to North Coast is unparalleled to many other festival of its size that we've experienced firsthand. Located close to all of Chicago's major highways and offering an overabundance of public transportation options gives the Near West Side venue of high accessibility for all. With over 25,000 people expected to be congregating in the Union Park each day, you will easily be able connect with fellow concert-goers as you make your way to and from the grounds each day.

The Music

The greatness of the lineup is the real reason why this festival has become renowned by many as the perfect end of summer's escape. There's music for everyone to witness and enjoy! With Bassnectar and his mainstage heavy bass hitters, Snoop Dogg & Kid Cudi bringing the true hip-hop vibes, and a new looking STS9 as the events main headliners, the lineup features an equally impressive spread of acts ranging from top producers & DJs including bass music assassins Zeds Dead, electro soul / saxophone specialist GRiZ, dubstep / electro sensations Adventure Club, and electro house's finest fleet of talent Dada Life, Alesso, Wolfgang Gartner, Showtek, Nicky Romero, W&W to the amazing indie bands Little Dragon, Future Island, Wild Belle, Dr. Dog, as well as hip-hop styles from the likes of Action Bronson, Riff Raff and Chicago locals ProbCause and Saba plus over 50 more acts over a three day period with a guaranteed national holiday / recovery day afterwards! What more could you ask for?

The Festival Atmosphere

Anyone true Chicagoan will talk your ear off at great lengths on why the city is the perfect place to reside or visit during the blissful summer months. With many flocking into the city over Labor Day weekend to attend the North Coast, it provides a wonderful atmosphere of good vibrations between many walks of life to come together and share a common love of live music with friends new and old. Memorable moments are to be created at random within the enchanted setting and will linger in the minds and hearts of all heading into fall / winter.

Zeds Dead Step Outside The Box To Deliver Captivating “Somewhere Else EP” Through Mad Decent

Being a top dawg in an industry involves personal sacrifices and putting in the man hours to obtain, something iconic genre blending producers Zeds Dead can attest to having spent most of their time on the road delivering their captivating music to the masses year round while releasing new material steadily. Diplo's eclectic eye spotted their talent early on and signed D.C. and Hooks to his prestigious Mad Decent label, which has released 3/6 EP's from the duo including their brand new Somewhere Else EP out now!

I've talked in length on how the EP showcases a different, more versatile side of Zeds Dead production; their collaboration with Alt Rock / Indie friend Twin Shadow on "Lost You" took on a deep house design while "Hadouken" featured more of their well known dubstep and bass creation capabilities. The release is quite easy to digest in one sitting and contains a stunning bass-infused collaboration with fellow Toronto producer Memorecks "Collapse", the electro soul / chill bass single "Stone Caponed" featuring long-time MC partner Omar Linx and a sultry saxophone addition by Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic, and an electro / bass turnup with Dirytphonics and songstress Bright Lights titled "Where Are You Know" and a few others. Dare I say this EP is a must obtain addition to anyones music collection as Zeds Dead show how broadening one capacity to entice listeners through genre blending can have a positive outcome on their production. Stream the EP in full below and grab your digital download now via iTunes! Enjoy
