Anomalie is an artist we’ve been excited about for a minute and today he’s back with yet another incredible release. This time around he’s delivered the extra soulful, jazz-influenced single “Canal” off his forthcoming project Metropole II, which is due May 2.
The Gramatik collaborator has impressed us time and time again with not only his songwriting and production, but his insane keyboard skills that are just mesmerizing. We had the pleasuring of premiering his bouncing, funky single “Crescent” as well as “No Way” leading up to his anticipated full length release. There’s something about the Montreal-based artist’s music that hits you just right.
The silky keys and strings compliment each other in the best way possible while a swirling synth melody and punching percussion give the jazzy song a modern edge making his signature sound. The multi-talented artist did all the producing, mixing, mastering and instrumentation himself on the project. He’s been selling out shows and is set to hit Red Rocks with Opiuo and Sunsquabi on April 21. Enjoy!
