Between headlining both his own New Year’s Eve event in Atlanta and the 2017 installment of Decadence in Arizona and Denver, Bassnectar is set to end this year with a bang. Today the ingenious producer revealed that he has much more in store than just concert appearances – he shared a heavy-hitting track titled “Slather” with rising bass producer Digital Ethos just a few hours ago, along with the announcement that Part 2 of his Reflective EP will drop on December 1.
“Slather” takes us back to Bassnectar’s roots in the best way. The track opens with some grimey bass and punchy percussion that’s reminiscent of the producer’s tracks from around half a decade ago. This leads into a downright filthy drop that incorporates alien synth melodies along with some ominous vocal samples that play into the heavy sound perfectly. Altogether, these two artists sound incredible together and we can’t wait to hear more from them both. Check out “Slather” below and enjoy!
