When we announced our latest remix competition for rising LA producer / DJ Borgeous' single "Invincible", no one could have expected the number of submissions submitted. We are excited to be able to offer a lucky aspiring producer with the opportunity to not only have a huge list of production and performance gear, plugins and more, but an official release on Spinnin Records; the same label responsible for international dance hits like Martin Garrix's "Animals" or Borgeous & DVBBS's "Tsunami" and hundreds more.
After thousands of entries and tens of thousands of votes, the TSIS team, Borgeous, and Spinnin Records have come together to announce the winners of the competition. We were originally supposed to have picked 3 total winners, but with so many unbelievably impressive remixes we had to increase that number and ended up picking a total of 5 winners for the competition.
The grand prize winner is rising 19 year producer DJ Markus Cole out of Toronto, Canada who delivered a stunning electro house recreation of the track offering a hard-hitting festival edge. The remix will be an official release from Spinnin Records and he won the rest of the Grand Prize package. Second place going to LA based JayKode 's remix, which is one of the most altered remixes in terms of being different from the original coming in with a trapped out spin that couldn't be more ready to shut down the largest of festivals. Next up is Ninni Angemi, a brand new producer / DJ from Catalina, Italy coming in with a melbourne bounce influenced electro twist to the original, packing some jaw dropping production quality throughout. Next up we have a unique melodic big room approach from newcomer out of Sydney, Australia, Glover. Lastly, Tel Aviv, Isreal stationed production trio Royal Disco who delivered quite the funky version. It was difficult picking through all the winners, and we couldn't be more excited to have teamed up with Borgeous and Spinnin Records to offer sucha an incredible opportunity and shouts to Wavo for powering the voting process. Congratulations to all the winners and great job to all those who entered. We have quite a few other remix competitions coming shortly, so make sure to stay tuned to look out for those. Enjoy!
