[PREMIERE] Candyland Delivers Heavy Trap Remix of Crime Mob’s 2004 Hit “Knuck If U Buck”

|||, ,

As if Crime Mob’s popular 2004 hip-hop single “Knuck If U Buck” wasn’t already heavy enough, Santa Barbara-based producer Candyland has blessed us with a downright filthy trap rework of the song that we’re excited to premiere on the site today. We had the pleasure of premiering Candyland’s last remix of Boombox Cartel’s “Phoenix” back in September, and today’s release is another example of her ability to create ferocious remixes from tracks of all kinds as she brings back the popular OG remix series we've been a fan of.

Besides some ominous production layered in, the intro of this remix maintains the heart (and the iconic beat) of the original. It’s at the minute mark where things get wild – Candyland delivers an unexpected drop brimming with raucous synths and a steady kick paired perfectly with some hard-hitting vocal samples from the original. This rise and fall of energy persists throughout, presenting a nice mix of old and new elements.

Along with this OG remix, Candyland is also running a cassette tape giveaway for 10 custom hand signed remix tapes for those who like & share her Facebook post or retweet on Twitter (see below). Check out the remix below and enjoy!
