Denzel Curry Drops Insanely Hard Single “SUMO” Ahead Of Forthcoming Album 'Taboo'

Denzel Curry

It seems like there’s two factions in today’s hip-hop. There’s the group of people who may not care for lyrical content as much, as long as the production is banging. Then there’s the folks who will only listen to a rapper if they’re throwing down quality bars (Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson). There’s a select few rappers that bridge the gap between these two groups, and Denzel Curry is one of them. Following his collab with Ekali, he's back with more fire.

On his brand new track, “SUMO,” Denzel enlists the production skills of Charlie Heat to stir up a ridiculously hard beat that will slap the hell out of your subwoofers. That’s only half of it, though. Denzel lays down some of his best verses here with a delivery so vicious and hungry that it’s almost frightening.

Many of Denzel’s fans were introduced to him via his track “ULTIMATE.” If that hard, muddy and fierce sound is what pulled you into his music originally, then you will absolutely love “SUMO.” Although Zel’s forthcoming album, Taboo, doesn’t officially have a release date yet, this new heater has us more hyped than ever to hear the full project. Enjoy!
