Our excitement increases by the day as the April 6th release of Gallant’s debut album Ology approaches. ZHU’s Mind of a Genius lablelmate just made the album announcement last week along with his latest mesmerizing single “Bourbon” and we see bright things ahead for this supernatural singer.
The LA based crooner launched a new video series titled “In The Room” a couple months ago with the inaugural collaboration alongside superstar indie singer/songwriter Sufjan Stevens for a duet cover of Sujan’s “Blue Bucket of Gold.” This video series aims to “both pay tribute to and create something special with the artists that have inspired me the most,” and today we have the latest issue.
For the second installment of this new series he’s enlisted influential singer Seal, who’s racked up international hits dating back to the early 90’s. Gallant’s piercing falsetto is set alongside Seal’s mesmerizing vocals as the new-school meets classic R&B duet making for a unique, hybrid sound.
"I've waited a long time to say everything that I'm saying in this album and it's terrifying to think that people will hear it. But I couldn't be more proud of this body of work and I hope people take it in a way that's as honest as I was when I was making it." Catch Gallant on tour with ZHU this spring and stay tuned for his album!
