J. Cole-Signed Rapper J.I.D. Blows Us Away On Insane Freestyle Over Eminem’s Classic “My Name Is”

||

J.I.D. might just be your next favorite rapper… the crazy talented MC just took on a classic Eminem track and did not disappoint on one of Dr. Dre's most iconic beats. This freestyle J.I.D. did over Em's "My Name Is" is absolutely next level. The crazy thing is that this is an old freestlye he just decided to re-upload with the note "OG fans remember this" on the SoundCloud Description. Eminem's original is undoubtedly one of the best hip-hop songs of all time and we're not saying J.I.D. just outdid the legend, but it's really cool to hear one of our favorite rising rappers take his shot at the instrumental.

It's no secret J.I.D. is a favorite of ours as he landed a very high spot on our list of top hip-hop albums from 2017 for his must hear album The Never Story. J.I.D. is special. The Atlanta rapper is signed to J. Cole's Dreamville records and has a voice that's as interesting as any rapper out there right now and pushes it to its limits like an elastic instrument. He also has bars on another level from most rappers and can rap laps around his competition. On this freestlye he pays homage to EM with some similar flows and lyrical references, but makes it entirely his own, proving why he's one of the best new rappers out there. As a bonus… check out his full album The Never Story below and enjoy!
