Kygo Previews First Original Single “Firestone”

||

Norwegian overnight superstar producer and DJ Kygo exploded on the world's radar this year through a series of viral remixes. Showcasing his signature tropical house style the young producer remixes classics like Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” or M83’s “Wait” and new tracks like Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”, Coldplay’s “Midnight”, Seinabo Sey’s “Younger” and even “Cut Your Teeth” by Kyla La Grange’s just to name a few.

Kygo is coming off the heels of two sold out tours, and countless festival plays including a main stage performance at TomorrowWorld, all strictly off of his remixes, no originals. That is, until now. Today we get a preview of his debut original single, “Firestone” featuring some smooth vocals from emerging singer Conrad.  From this release it sounds like Kygo has successfully replicated the sound he became known for through his remixes in an original. The song is set to release Monday, December 1st.

We get to hear the song 1 min and 43 seconds into the action packed video of his North American leg of the Endless Summer tour. We see footage of a few of his most pivitol US shows to date; including the rooftop of Brooklyn nightclub Output, The Fonda Theatre in LA and the legendary TomorrowWorld performance, with commentary from Kygo interjected throughout. Watch below while soaking in the rising star's very first original.
