Just a day before their highly anticipated documentary “Give Me Future” comes out on Apple Music, the Major Lazer team has treated us to “Love Life”, a lighthearted dancehall-inspired track that will be featured on the soundtrack. The documentary captures their historic trip to Cuba and their experience with the youth culture and music scene in the long-isolated island. The group hosted the first electronic dance event Cuba had ever seen and rallied an insane crowd of over 400,000 people.
After listening to this track you can only imagine how much fun that crowd had. “Love Life” has all of the trappings of a classic Major Lazer hit. Playfully filtered vocals from Trinidadian singer Azaryah perfectly interplay with the group’s signature synth sound and syncopated beats to create an undeniably happy and energetic vibe. This one leaves us all wishing for more summer nights.
