We’ve been waiting on this one for a while! After Pendulum announced their return in January of last year, we really didn’t know what to expect next from the legendary supergroup. But since announcing their first release would be a remix album, including remixes from Knife Party, Noisia and Skrillex, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the groups socials. And today, the group has delivered an amazing addition to their forthcoming album – a Skrillex remix of “The Island, Pt. 1 (Dawn)”.
Although “The Island, Pt. 1 (Dawn)” has received remixes from Steve Angello, Madeon and even Tiësto over the years, this latest addition is something like we’ve never heard. While we caught a glimpse of it a few months ago courtesy of Ekali, the final product exceeded all expectation. Characterized by warbling guitar, lush, pulsing synths, crisp horns and powerful percussion, Skrill has effectively combined reggae and future bass in incredible fashion on this latest.
