Rising Rapper Smino Drops 2 New Songs Including Remix Of Drake's "In My Feelings"

smino in my chillin coupe se yern

St. Louis / Chicago rapper Smino announced today that is next project is now being mixed, and shared two brand-new tracks to celebrate the news. The A-side is a remix of Drake's recent hit "In My Feelings," and the B-side is a new song produced by Smino himself.

Smino's take on the Drake song, which he titled "in my chillin," starts off with the same flow Drake used on the Scorpion highlight track, and then quickly mixes it up to put his own spin on it. He goes double-time over the trap drums and fully utilizes the beat in the short 90 seconds he has on it. For the second single, "coupe se' yern," Smino lays down an icy beat that sounds inspired by Metro Boomin, which allows him to show off a new side we didn't see on last year's album blkswn. The melody is captivating, his flows are intricate, and the lyrics make you want to play the song back to make sure you heard every word.

Smino's last project landed at #4 of our Top Hip-Hop/R&B Albums of 2017, so we have high expectations for its follow up. We'll keep you updated when we hear more about the new album. Enjoy!
