With less than one week remaining until the release of GenerationWHY, ZHU lowers his mysterious facade (at least, temporarily) with "Hometown Girl", the newest track to be unveiled from his debut LP. The producer/singer seems to open up about his personal experiences in the music industry and how it has affected his relationship with one girl, in particular.
Whether or not the lyrics hold true to his actual life or if they exist solely for storytelling purposes remains unknown, but it is certainly intriguing to hear ZHU's latest lyrical message evoking vulnerability more than mystery. The album will consist of 14 tracks and given the unexpected direction of "Hometown Girl", our curiosity as to what's yet to be revealed has reached a new peak.
GenerationWHY will be out on Friday, July 29 via Mind Of A Genius and Columbia Records. Until then, stream "Hometown Girl" below on Spotify.
