Moonrise Festival Announces 2017 Lineup Ft. Zeds Dead, Getter, Run The Jewels & More

Moonrise Lineup 2017

Moonrise Festival just dropped a packed lineup featuring some of electronic music's biggest acts. It’s apparent that the Baltimore-based festival spared no production expense, securing huge names like Zeds Dead, Getter, Big Gigantic, Flux Pavillion, Excision and Lil Uzi Vert for their fourth year in existence.

The lineup consists of heavy-hitters such as Gramatik, Malaa, Run The Jewels, Joyryde, Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, Zomboy, Pluto and many more. And although both Porter Robinson and Madeon will be playing the fest, with their Shelter Tour concluded, it seems unlikely that they’ll be putting on a duo performance.

Along with a stacked lineup, this year Moonrise Festival has adopted a high tech, quick tap, RFID-enabled wristband entry method in hopes of cutting line wait times enhancing festival-going experience. The two day festival will be running August 12-13 and tickets can be found here. Enjoy!

Colorado's Potential Major Music Festival Takes Step In Right Direction

Colorado Festival

More details about a potential, Coachella-like, festival in Colorado have surfaced, and Denver residents are becoming increasingly excited. Bonnaroo’s and Outside Lands’ promotion company, Superfly, has verified that the city of Denver is the preferred home to their potential project.

This was announced after the City Of Denver’s Special Event Office expressed interest in hosting the festival at the Overland Park Golf Course, which is located four miles south of the downtown area. Initial talks of the festival suggested that there was a possibility it would take place in Denver’s northern suburb, Westminster. Superfly has discontinued that possibility and it's now up the promoters and the City of Denver to agree on a contract and then be voted on by City Council.

Additionally, Superfly was originally partnered with AEG, another dominant festival production company. However, AEG has made a statement declaring that they will no longer participate in the creation of the festival, meaning it is solely constructed by Superfly. The festival organizers have proposed that it be a three-day festival housing 30,000-60,000 attendees per day, starting in 2018. We're hoping this means Denver will finally have a major music festival down the road. Enjoy!
