[PREMIERE] Stream Minnesota’s Powerful Oregon Eclipse Gathering Set In Full

Minnesota 2017 Oregon Eclipse Set

Roughly a month ago, various artists and thousands of attendees gathered in rural Oregon for what will likely be a once in a lifetime event: a massive celebration of the total solar eclipse that took place on Aug. 21 of this year. The Global Eclipse Gathering was held from Aug. 17-23, bringing together people from all over to witness the eclipse together in the presence of art, music and community. Twelve collaborators from across the globe collaborated to host the gathering, which took place at Big Summit Prairie, a picturesque private ranch located in the extensive Ochoco National Forest. Everyone from Bassnectar to The Glitch Mob performed, and today we have the exciting opportunity to premiere Minnesota’s explosive set from the festival.

It’s no surprise that Minnesota brought vigorous energy to the entirety of this set – his genre-blending, glitch-hop/dubstep style has electrified festival stages and dancefloors alike for years now. Beyond this intensity, he tied in warbly bass lines and trippy synth patterns to really drive the unique atmosphere of this gathering home. The producer incorporated a healthy 53 tracks into the set; in addition to plenty of his own music, songs like RL Grime’s “Stay For It,” Bassnectar’s intense take of Noisia’s “Get Deaded,” Ekali and Krane’s “Akira,” Noisia’s remix of What So Not’s experimental “Divide & Conquer” and much more appear throughout. Enjoy!

Diplo Shares Heavy Hourlong Set From Burning Man 2017

diplo burning man 2017

The week following Burning Man is always full of new mixes, with artists consistently uploading their sets from the festival to SoundCloud and other streaming services each year. This weekend chillwave artist Tycho shared his soothing sunrise set from the gathering and, more recently, Diplo has gifted us with a performance from the opposite side of the spectrum: his intense, bass-heavy set from Burning Man’s fifth day at Camp Questionmark.

Diplo is a master at mixing hip-hop, rap and other genres with lively production, a dynamic signature that always brings something fresh to Burning Man. 2017 was no different, with the producer packing this hourlong set to the brim with powerful music. The hip-hop influence is notable with classic releases from artists like A$AP Ferg, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean and Kendrick Lamar mixed in, but Diplo goes deep as well, tying in tracks like Rick Ross and Skrillex’s “Purple Lamborghini,” What So Not’s heavy “Innerbloom” remix, various releases from the Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack U album/EP and much more. Find the full set below – enjoy!
