12th Planet Shares Heavy-Hitting ‘Let Us Prey’ EP Via Disciple

12th Planet let us prey

Exactly one week ago (August 25), 12th Planet shared some surprising news with the release of his new collaboration with Virtual Riot and Lumberjvck: that not only does he have a finished EP set for release, but that he would be joining the heavy-hitters on Disciple (home to Dubloadz, Virtual Riot, Barely Alive and more). This decision is nothing short of monumental for the American dubstep pioneer, as he has only released one full project since 2012. Today 12th has shared his brand new EP, Let Us Prey.

There's a little something for everyone on this latest offering from the LA-based bass producer. Starting off with an eerie spoken intro, the EP immediately takes on a dark, foreboding vibe. Filled with atmospheric plucks, glitched-out bass and piercing synths, 12th has taken inspiration from reggae, drum and bass and even future bass and included it throughout the EP’s five tracks, all while dialing in the incredibly heavy and sophisticated sound design we’ve come to know and love. With features from Jah Mikey, GG Magree and of course Virtual Riot and Lumberjvck, we couldn’t have hoped for anything more from the dubstep legend himself. Check out 12th Planet's Let Us Prey EP below and enjoy!

[PREMIERE] 12th Planet Releases New Collaboration "Sooo Sick" With Virtual Riot & Lumberjvck Via Disciple

12th Planet Sooo Sick art

12th Planet is the leading pioneer of the American dubstep scene dubstep since the beginning and has been inspiring countless young DJs and producers for years. He started his own label SMOG which has released a sea of bass records.

Well 12th recently made some very surprising news that he would be leaving his own label to join the roster over at Disciple, who are one of the hottest bass labels in the world right now. The label was founded in UK recently relocated to LA.

12th's Let Us Prey EP is set for release on the label soon and today we have the premiere of our favorite track off the project "Sooo Sick" which feels like an indirect shout out to the site. The song is a collaboration with both Virtual Riot and Lumberjvck and is lives up to the name. The drops are relentless and the sick vocal samples are hysterically epic. Blast this one on some proper speakers and enjoy!

Zomboy & 12th Planet Team Up For Heavy Dubstep Collaboration "Dead Presidents" Feat. Jay Fresh

Zomboy 12th Planet Side By Side

Red alert! Zomboy and 12th Planet have just released their new collaboration "Dead Presidents" featuring Jay Fresh and it's absolutely filthy. Both Zomboy and 12th Planet have been featured countless times here on TSIS and for good reason. As some of the heaviest bass producers in the game, it's awesome to see them combine their talents for one epic dubstep track.

"Dead Presidents" starts off with a Middle Eastern-inspired melody that's overlaid with heavy percussion and booming brass instrumentation. Less than a minute into the track we're met with grungy bass screeches and growls that will command any head-banging crowd. The massive dubstep collaboration is the lead single of Never Say Die Records' 21-track compilation album which is their 100th official release to date. A big congrats to the label as well! Listen to "Dead Presidents" below and enjoy!
