AC Slater Delivers Impressive 11-Track Debut Album ‘Outsiders’

Ac Slater Outsiders Album

LA-based heavyweight AC Slater has undoubtedly carved a niche for himself within bass music; his somewhat underground imprint, Night Bass, has drawn a loyal following from coast to coast since its humble beginnings in 2014. Most notable about the artist is that he’s done it all without dropping a single album – until now, that is. His debut LP, Outsiders, is finally here, and it’s an incredible offering jam-packed with gritty basslines, an eclectic mix of subgenres and an overall gripping production that only AC himself could pull off.

The full project follows the release of three singles that have each turned heads in their own right: “Dealer” with Tchami, “Dope Slinger” with Chris Lorenzo and, most recently, “All About Paper.” The other eight tracks that join these releases live up to and surpass expectation. AC pays homage to all of the genres Night Bass seeks to celebrate, such as house, grime, UK garage and more, and dips into other more mainstream genres like hip-hop and deep house, as well. Between the abrasive basslines of “Jaws” with Acid Mouth to the intoxicating 4/4 drumline and fast-paced vocals of “Big Riddim,” Outsiders will keep you moving from start to finish. Check it out below. Enjoy!

AC Slater Shares Fast-Paced House Track “All About Paper” (feat. Bassboy & Scrufizzer)

AC Slater All About paper

AC Slater has returned to the site today with a brand new infectious house single. Piggybacking off the success of his recently released collabs with Tchami and Chris Lorenzo, AC has now teamed up with Bassboy & Scrufizzer on a new track titled “All About Paper”.

If you’re even the slightest fan of house-music then you know exactly what to expect from this LA-based heavyweight producer. Filled with a fast-paced 4/4 drumline and a wonky retro-sounding synth melody, AC and Bassboy dial in the groovy vibes from the get-go as Scrufizzer provides some well executed verses over top. This latest release is the perfect way to start the workweek and is sounding like a great addition to AC Slater’s forthcoming album Outsiders, set to drop September 29 on Night Bass. Check out “All About Paper” below and enjoy!

GRiZ Drops Incredible ‘Good Will Continue’ Remix Album Ft. Opiuo, Barclay Crenshaw, Boogie T & More

griz good will continue

GRiZ’s exciting Good Will Continue remix album is finally here! A household name for future funk and overall electronic fans alike, this Detroit-born producer has been a TSIS favorite since we started covering music years ago. After watching him grow since then, it’s safe to say 2017 has been GRiZ’s biggest year yet. He started off strong back in January when he reunited with Gramatik to drop “As We Proceed,” which has remained one of the biggest tracks of the year so far. He hasn’t slowed down since, appearing on a staggering amount of festival lineups, announcing his two-day Red Rocks event (which will include his live band debut), hosting GRiZMAS in July and much, much more.

Today GRiZ has kept that momentum as strong as ever with the drop of Good Will Continue, the long awaited remix album that he announced a month ago in addition to sharing a track from the album: Opiuo’s psychedelic take on “PS GFY,” which we premiered on the site in July. The 13-track album features both familiar and fresh faces to the industry, with the reworks branching into genres of all kinds. Artists like AC Slater, Claude VonStroke as Barclay Crenshaw, Tommy Trash and more offer their takes on GRiZ favorites, with each bringing their own signatures ranging from house, trap, funk, electro house and more to the tracks. What results is a fantastically diverse offering that has a little something for everyone within. Check out Good Will Continue and the accompanying tour dates below. Enjoy!
