Rising Artist Anomalie Blends Electronic Production & Jazzy Instrumentation On 'Metropole Part II' EP

Just recently we launched our new “Rooftop Sessions” series with a talented rising artist Anomalie. The series focuses on various electronic artists who take advantage of the live setting playing thought their songs on our very own rooftop in Denver. Now he’s back with some fresh new music on his Metropole Part II, and it’s just what we wanted from the Montreal-based artist.

Anomalie has made a name for himself with his signature sound blending his out of this world piano skills with a knack for smooth sound design. He combines bouncing, funky keys and jazzy productions in a dreamy way that’s immediately recognizable as Anomalie. The 7-track EP shows once again why the rising artist is someone to keep an eye on. Enjoy!

PREMIERE | Rising Artist Anomalie Blends Jazz And Electronic Production On New Song "Canal"

anomalie canal

Anomalie is an artist we’ve been excited about for a minute and today he’s back with yet another incredible release. This time around he’s delivered the extra soulful, jazz-influenced single “Canal” off his forthcoming project Metropole II, which is due May 2.

The Gramatik collaborator has impressed us time and time again with not only his songwriting and production, but his insane keyboard skills that are just mesmerizing. We had the pleasuring of premiering his bouncing, funky single “Crescent” as well as “No Way” leading up to his anticipated full length release. There’s something about the Montreal-based artist’s music that hits you just right.

The silky keys and strings compliment each other in the best way possible while a swirling synth melody and punching percussion give the jazzy song a modern edge making his signature sound. The multi-talented artist did all the producing, mixing, mastering and instrumentation himself on the project. He’s been selling out shows and is set to hit Red Rocks with Opiuo and Sunsquabi on April 21. Enjoy!
