Autolaser Impresses On Chill, Funky 'lost call' EP Out Now On bitbird

autolaser lost call ep

When Autolaser teams up with bitbird for a release the music is guaranteed to be beautifully creative. The Norwegian producer and Dutch label joined forces last year on the cinematic single “NAKIRA” and revived the partnership to drop a brand new single last week off Autolaser’s upcoming EP titled “firenze”. We loved what we heard on “firenze” and are excited to share the full lost call EP with you today.

Autolaser approached this four-track EP with an unusual goal: He doesn’t want you to focus on the music. Instead, lost call is designed to be the soundtrack to your life, played in the background while you do other things. With this nuanced listening style in mind, Autolaser crafted an engaging, emotive soundscape marked with elements of his signature production style. Deep bass plucks set the foundation for tracks like “firenze” and “lost call”, which layer dreamy synths and resonant vocal samples for a powerful effect. “less” and “whitehorse” explore a more melodic, atmospheric vibe, allowing the listener to drift away in a hazy sea of electronic chords. Enjoy!

PREMIERE | Autolaser Drops Must Hear, Italo-Disco Inspired Single "Firenze"

autolaser Firenze

Autolaser and bitbird are back at it with another new release we have the pleasure of premiering. Last fall we were happy to premiere "NAIKIRA" off bitbird and once again Autolaser has linked up with San Holo's label for more fire. This new track "Firenze" comes early off his new lost call EP due next week, and is just the chill & funky sound we've come to love from Autolaser over the years.

“One of my best friends has a tattoo shop and when I’m hanging out there and playing cool music, most of the customers are like, oh what’s this song, what are you listening to?. That moment when they’re getting tattoos is a very personal experience and they’re going through a very special state of mind; I wanted to create a project that could compliment experiences such as these.” - Autolaser

Here Autolaser puts his unique sound design on full display. He utilizes an almost haunting vocal sample throughout the song alongside a funky bassline and eerie synths inspired by Italo-Disco. Stay tuned for the full EP and enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Autolaser Delivers Must Hear Cinematic Single "NAIKIRA" Off Bitbird's 'Gouldian Finch 2' Compilation

Autolaser Naikira

Both Autolaser and San Holo’s label Bitbird have had their fair share of coverage on TSIS, and deservingly so. Now we’re happy to be premiering Autolaser’s new track “NAIKIRA” via Bitbird’s approaching Gouldian Finch 2 Compilation.

"I felt the song deserved a personally name, which ended up with Naikira. During the record takes (yes, i play & record most of my instruments) i played with different chords on my guitar. I recorded it on a tape recorder and just started to jam along with a Juno106 (strings, bass, lead). And when the vocal was done it was just the structure left, which has a non-pop structure. Everything is arranged after a "intro" feeling, like a interlude for a classic movie. Outro fades out, which gives you a  feeling that you want to go back and listen again. Everything was recorded on a early spring morning, which is my fav time in a day to record. Hope you enjoy Naikira as much as i do." - Autolaser

Oslo-based Autolaster is someone who always seems to blow me away. His productions are always diverse and utilize many different sounds and instruments. Once again the sound design is next level. “NAIKIRA” is an epic song right off the bat and sounds like a cinematic 80s sci-fi soundtrack or something. The many layers come in right off the bat with blaring synths, spacey textures and basslines, with bright distorted chimes and soft vocal samples carrying the emotional track throughout. Be sure to check out the stacked Gouldian Finch 2 Compilation.
