Avicii Returns From Hiatus With New 'AVĪCI' EP

Avicii EP

In March of 2016, Avicii shocked us all when he announced that he would be retiring from touring. In the year and a half since his announcement, the Swedish producer has kept his word, taking a break from any and all dealings with the electronic music scene. But today, it seems he’s finally began to make his return to electronic music with the release of a new EP titled AVĪCI.

In order to announce the new project, Avicii took to social media last week for the first time in over a year, making this latest offering an unexpected yet pleasant surprise to fans and artists alike. Featuring collaborations with Rita Ora, AlunaGeorge and many others, the six-track EP showcases the folk-inspired electronic sound that Avicii has become known for over his years of musical evolution. With five brand new originals and one remix, we’re not sure what this new EP may mean for the future of Avicii, but are happy to see that his hiatus from touring is not a hiatus from music altogether. Check out his new AVĪCI EP below and enjoy!

Chicago based trio Autograf continue to impress with yet another track to add to their non-stop trail of new music following up remixes of Fat Boy Slim's "Mad Flava" and Alesso's "Cool" along with their debut oriignal "Dream."  Today we have a surprising remix of Avicii's house single "Waiting For Love", which they have proceeded to completely recreate. New drums, funky synth lines, colorful piano plays and an infectious xylophone melody, gives us a signature Autograf hit. The trio maintain a club ready upbeat tempo to the song while still leaving us with something full of tropical vibes. Listen to the song below and we will keep you posted on a release date. Enjoy!

Kygo to Replace Avicii On TomorrowWorld Mainstage

Kygo to Replace Avicii On TomorrowWorld Mainstage - Featured Image

Breakout Norwegian superstar producer and DJ Kygo has blossomed before our very eyes in 2014 including an international album deal with Sony / Ultra, every show on his headlining US tour selling out, and some unreal collaborations brewing.

The young artist has just secured one of his biggest moments yet, a main stage slot at the 2nd annual TomorrowWorld next week, filling in for international powerhouse producer Avicii. This comes after Avicii was forced to cancel all future dates due to health concerns leaving TomorrowWorld fans curious on who would fill the slot.

Kygo is confirmed to be playing TomorrowWorld on Friday, September 26th from 6:15 - 7:15pm on the Main Stage. This is a set you can't afford to miss if you're making the trip to Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia for summers last noteworthy music festival.

This is quite the upgrade for everyone who tends to hang around the main stage and might not be aware of Kygo's unique brand of Tropical House vibes. You won't find any big room or progressive house builds here, just pure summer-time bliss like the Diplo & Friends mix featured below that Kygo created this year.

With the unreal momentum Kygo has going for him right now, what could possibly be next?

Also his newest North American Endless Summer Tour is kicking off at the end of the month with only a couple dates with any tickets remaining.
