It Looks Like An Album Of Unreleased Avicii Music May Come As Early As This Year

It looks like an Avicii album may be on the way this year. According to Swedish magazine Aftonbladet, unreleased music from the beloved artist may come as early as this year. They report that his family has “met record company representatives and partners and agree that an album will be released before the end of the year.” Geffen Records president Neil Jacobs has also revealed “It was honestly Avicii’s best music for many years.” Stay tuned for more info on this developing story. Avicii Returns From Hiatus With New 'AVĪCI' EP

Avicii EP

In March of 2016, Avicii shocked us all when he announced that he would be retiring from touring. In the year and a half since his announcement, the Swedish producer has kept his word, taking a break from any and all dealings with the electronic music scene. But today, it seems he’s finally began to make his return to electronic music with the release of a new EP titled AVĪCI.

In order to announce the new project, Avicii took to social media last week for the first time in over a year, making this latest offering an unexpected yet pleasant surprise to fans and artists alike. Featuring collaborations with Rita Ora, AlunaGeorge and many others, the six-track EP showcases the folk-inspired electronic sound that Avicii has become known for over his years of musical evolution. With five brand new originals and one remix, we’re not sure what this new EP may mean for the future of Avicii, but are happy to see that his hiatus from touring is not a hiatus from music altogether. Check out his new AVĪCI EP below and enjoy!
