Bassnectar naux faux EP enchanted

Most of us know that Bassnectar makes some of electronic music’s highest energy, most gut-punching and mind-blowing tracks. It’s one of the reasons he is who he is and how he’s earned one of the most die hard fan bases we’ve ever seen. Those who do closely follow Bassnectar also know that he has a love for the downtempo stuff as well. For the folks that like to take a break from the bangers, we have great news for you today. Bassnectar has officially released Enchanted his first Naux Faux EP, a joint downtempo project with frequent collaborator Sayr, and it’s sounding awesome. He previously shared a remix of "Psyopia" and we're excited to hear the 7-track project in full.

What’s great about this EP is how you can still clearly hear Bassnectar’s sound design, but in a way that you may not be entirely familiar with or accustomed to aside from his early works. This is a very accessible project that nearly anyone can enjoy, even if Bassnectar isn’t necessarily your cup of tea. Using Bassnectar’s own words to describe the new EP, it plays “like a warm beam of sunlight on a lazy afternoon, close your eyes and feel the sound wash over you.” Enjoy!

Bassnectar Unleashes Impressive ‘Reflective Part 2’ EP Feat. G Jones, Eprom & More

Bassnectar reflective part 2

Legendary producer Bassnectar really is the gift that keeps on giving – in addition to gearing up for back-to-back New Year’s Eve events, one in Denver and one in Atlanta, the artist just dropped his much-anticipated Reflective Part 2 EP. The hype surrounding the project has been building for weeks now, with the artist dropping diverse singles “Slather,” “Other Worlds” and a “Psyopia” remix on a consistent basis since early November.

Bassnectar absolutely delivered with the three tracks that he added to these initial releases. The trap-style track with Peekaboo, “Disrupt The System” feat. Azeem, is on point with robust drums, gritty basslines and a punchy vocal sample. He keeps the energy from there with a wonky remix of EPROM’s “Pineapple,” tying in bizarre synth melodies that still manage to sound great. The standout of the new tracks, however, is no doubt the intense collaboration with G Jones titled “Chromatek.” These two powerhouse bass producers come together incredibly on this one, utilizing a colossal build of energy to create a product that’s both heavy and chill-inducing at the same time. Plus, the outro will no doubt leave you wanting more.

We can’t wait to hear these powerful tracks live as Bassnectar closes out 2017. For now, check out Reflective Part 2 below and enjoy!
