Mr. Carmack & Tennyson Deliver 3-Track EP Made in 3 Days Ft. BJ The Chicago Kid

Carmack Tennyson BJ

Mr. Carmack and Tennyson have teamed up for three new songs following a challenge from Red Bull for the artists to make three songs in three days. We previously covered the first song “Tuesday” and now we have “Wednesday” & “Thursday”, which features BJ The Chicago Kid

Their productions capture a chilled-out vibe throughout the three tracks as they impress us with their ability to create these high-quality productions in such a short time. The first two tracks “Tuesday” and “Wednesday” are relaxing instrumentals built on many layers of smooth melodies. “Thursday” switches things up as they connect with BJ The Chicago Kid on the soulful collaboration finishing the series. Enjoy!

Anderson .Paak & BJ The Chicago Kid Link Up Over Thane’s “Responsibilities”

Anderson Paak BJ Responsibilities

There’s nothing that’ll get you grooving quite like Anderson .Paak and BJ The Chicago Kid linking up on a funky instrumental. The two proved to be a perfect match on "The Waters" off .Paak’s Malibu album and sound just as great on "Responsibilities".

The jazzy beat is provided by newcomer Thane as part of his debut 12-track LP, Topia. Thane effortlessly brings together horns and violin strings to set the foundation for .Paak and BJ to shine. Both vocalists deliver plenty of soul with their unbelievably smooth crooning in their performance. Enjoy!

Knox Brown Releases Soulful 6-Track ‘Searching’ EP Ft. Anderson .Paak & BJ The Chicago Kid

Knox Brown Searching EP

When a young artist has written & produced music behind the scenes for numerous high profile artists like Jay Z and Beyonce, they’re typically worth keeping an eye on. That’s exactly what we have with multi-instrumentalist & singer Knox Brown as he releases his debut EP, Searching.

The talented artist moved from Jamaica to Birmingham, England when he was 12 years old and this mixed cultural upbringing is embodied in his eclectic sound. Brown brings a dancehall-inspired approach to contemporary soul and hip-hop as he handles all the production duties and instrument playing including saxophone, piano and bass.

Brown brings his organic, gospel roots as he recruits a couple of the more soulful artists the hip-hop landscape has to offer with Anderson .Paak on “No Slaves” and BJ The Chicago Kid on “Harry’s Code” in addition to fellow London artist Kojey Radical.  Enjoy!
