Chelsea Cutler Impresses On New ‘Sleeping With Roses’ Mixtape

chelsea cutler

Chelsea Cutler is an artist whose vocals are always immediately recognized, and for good reason. The Connecticut-based vocalist, songwriter and producer’s bubbly voice shines on every track she appears on, from Kasbo’s “Found You” to her own originals like “You Make Me.” She’s constantly impressed us since she first appeared on the site in 2016, and this weekend she’s impressed us yet again with her Sleeping With Roses mixtape.

Similarly to many artists in production today, Cutler finds herself experimenting with and blending together various genres on this latest offering. The 8-track mixtape is packed with pieces that will make you want to dance, like the pulsing future bass-style “Deserve This” and “The Reason.” Yet Cutler also takes things down a more tender route, diving into a mature style with the raw, subdued “Deathbed,” “Sleeping With Roses” and “Lonely Alone” with Jeremy Zucker. Cutler literally finds her voice on each and every track, with that recognizable tone tying the entire mixtape together. Check out Sleeping With Roses below and enjoy!

Jeremy Zucker & Chelsea Cutler Shine On Acoustic-Based Inside Electronic Collab “better off”

Jeremy Zucker

New Jersey-based singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker has been making waves lately with his unique sound we just can’t get enough of. Today he’s shared a new song “better off” alongside the talented Chelsea Cutler

“I spent a whole week up in rural Connecticut at a studio that was built inside of an old carriage house. The last day I was there, Chelsea came up to write some new music with me and my best friend. I just remember Chelsea sitting down and playing this beautiful acoustic riff; I asked her what it was, and she responded, "I don’t know, I just came up with it." For the next three hours, we wrote nonstop, cut vocals and passed out in the studio. I stayed up until sunrise finishing the production, and then Chelsea added those beautiful piano hits you can hear at the end of the track. The song probably took us 16 hours start to finish—it was one of the most organic, beautiful sessions I've ever done, and I’m so excited about how the song came out.” - Jeremy Zucker

The 21-year-old artist has really refined his indie electronic sound allowing his smooth vocals to shine atop every time. Here he and Chelsea prove to be a perfect match and we can’t wait to hear more from him. Enjoy!

Kidswaste manilla Killa Chelsea cutler tonight art

We love it whenever artists we’re fans of link up and turn out to be a perfect fit alongside each other. That’s exactly what we have with “Tonight,” a collaboration between Kidswaste, Manila Killa and Chelsea Cutler

There’s something about both Kidswaste and Manila Killa’s productions that carry a magical vibe, and together each of their styles are complimented effortlessly. On “Tonight” both Kidswaste and Manila create a laidback instrumental combining bright chimes with lush textures and atmospheric sound design paired with minimal percussion for one of the more soothing songs we’ve heard all year. Chelsea always seems to shine on the chillest of productions and this track is no different. Her angelic, whispering vocals echoes throughout the gentle collaboration that has us hoping these artists link up more down the road. See Kidswasts's debut US tour dates below and enjoy!
