Chet Porter Delivers Impressive Remix Of Louis The Child's "Love Is Alive"

Chet Porter Press Shot

Toronto producer Chet Porter has remixed Louis The Child’s track “Love Is Alive” into an incredibly uplifting and easygoing tune. Chet Porter has seen rapid growth since his breakout single as “Stay” dropped via Foreign Family in 2016.  Chet Porter showcases the same cinematic and bright sound on his “Love Is Alive” remix, which compliments Elohim’s original vocals super nicely.

“First off, I love the [original] song. It's so brilliant and catchy and well produced. Even before I remixed it I'd play it in my live sets. Now I play the original and then transition into my version. Beyond all that, Louis The Child and Elohim are both good friends of mine, so it just made sense and it was really enjoyable to work on. Super glad I had the opportunity to remix it.” - Chet Porter

The track gives off happy vibes right away with angelic pads, bright leads and uplifting piano. It then breaks down with Elohim’s original vocals which are highlighted with minimal percussion accents. From there, the remix builds energy with underlying bass, consistent drums alongside the infectious chorus. All of the tracks shimmering elements finally come together to create and cinematic and emotional climax that Chet Porter does so well… See tour dates below and enjoy!

Chet Porter Completely Reimagines D.R.A.M. & Lil Yachty’s “Broccoli” With Refreshing Future Bass Remix

Chet Porter Broccoli Press Shot

Versitile producer Chet Porter has been growing steadily over the past few years since dropping his remixes of Hitmane’s “Over U” and Louis The Child’s “It's Strange”. Now, following his debut single “Stay” feat. Chelsea Cutler, the Toronto based artist has released yet another upbeat remix, this time of D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty's “Broccoli”.

Although Chet includes Broccoli’s incredibly catchy flute melody in his remix, he effectively builds a completely new song under D.R.A.M and Lil Yachty’s vocals on this official remix. The track starts out with some non-traditional percussion immediately giving it a light-hearted tropical vibe. Bright bells come in and layer on top of a steady kick drum slowly leading the track into a euphoric drop filled with lush synths and punchy bass. We've heard a handful of ok remixes of the viral original, but Chet stepped up to the plate delivering the best version we've heard yet. See upcoming Chet Porter tour dates below and enjoy!

Chet Porter Makes Debut On ODESZA’s Foreign Family Label With "Stay"

Chet Porter - Stay Feat. Chelsea Cutler [Cover Art]

Chet Porter, not be confused with Chet Faker or Porter Robinson, makes his debut on TSIS with his enchanting single, "Stay" feat. Chelsea Cutler, on Foreign Family Collective. The imprint, formed by Seattle duo Odesza, has become an elite tastemaker for electronic music over the past year and marks "Stay" as its 11th release. Previous records to come from Foreign Family include Jai Wolf's "Drive", Louis Futon's "Wasted On You" and RÜFÜS DU SOL's "Bloom" LP.

"Stay" awakens the inner-child in every listener with its endearing melodies, sparkling progressions and Cutler's airy vocals that induce a dreamy essence. With respect to how the record came to be, it flips the script.

I think that with most collaborations, the producer writes an instrumental and then reaches out to a vocalist to hop on afterwards, but this actually happened the other way around. I was in Dubai and Chelsea messaged me asking me if I wanted to produce around this demo she made. I finished most of the song that day and immediately had Foreign Family in mind. I showed my manager, but specifically said not to send it because it wasn’t quite there yet. I remember him hitting me back being like “sent" haha and I freaked out like all-caps "OMG NO YOU BLEW IT". When Spring came around I was touring with Big Wild and Jai Wolf, then I got asked to open up for Odesza on a few shows in California. That's when they told me they wanted to release it. - Chet Porter

The single precedes a 39-date North American Fall tour with Lemaitre, Jai Wolf and The Floozies. Grab your tickets here and enjoy his latest release, available tomorrow (Aug. 19) for purchase!
